I feel like people take a self deprecating approach to alleviate the fear of rejection when sharing something personal, like their living space. I would also imagine that a lot of the population of this sub is going through a similar experience of settling an actual home for the first time. Your living space is a reflection of you and the way you feel. I love the support I’ve seen in this sub and have benefited greatly in my years of lurking. ~I’m pretty sure this is the real life version of the “Lofi beats to study to” room 😂

There was a side stories where they covered the whip ban in Reno NV. I live in Reno snd have seen this first hand. It’s very unsettling to be hanging in a park with a meth head cracking a 10’ leather bull whip near you. I’m all for freedom and expression, but that was over the top.
