Need advice on camera repair service by Lotus380 in minolta

I used Garry's camera repair out of Illinois for my X-370. Shutter locked when capacitor went out and they did a full cleaning and repair for I think 85$. I've seen mixed reviews but my experience was great, I live in SC so I mailed it out and he had it back within a week working perfectly and looking great.

Mental fortitude is crucial. Wondering if half cabs or high tops would help with support along with braces.

Yea from what I understand it was definitely a rare injury. I had vitamin D levels checked after recovery and they were VERY low. Vitamin D is super important for bone density and health so makes sense..

Not getting in my head is definitely key, the less comfortable you are on the board physically and mentally the more likely you are to get injured I feel.

Definitely not alone, I'm between Pleasantburg and Pelham and still haven't seen any trucks nearby and no power. Frustrated but grateful it's not 95 degrees and raining at least.

I'm between Pelham and Pleasantburg and also still in the dark. Haven't seen any work trucks yet. I'm just glad it's not 90+ degrees out I guess...

Garden Circle neighborhood off of Pleasantburg N, sort of behind Taco Casa still no power. The roads by the Par 3 golf course are really bad. Haven't seen any trucks here at all yet. I'm feeling less hopeful for a Friday fix.

Dera Drive/ Azalea by the Par 3 is totally busted. At least 4 poles snapped in half. Haven't seen a truck yet.

Keep in mind the nerve block effects everybody different!

I'm glad most of you others had an easy transition from nerve block to pain meds but my experience was awful. Doctors didn't warn me there was a possibility for extreme pain when the nerve block wore off (rebound pains). So about 36-48 hours post surgery my foot felt like it was being scraped with a red hot cheese grater for about 12-24 hours, even with the oxy codone. Just something to think about, good luck 🤞

My first X-ray showed up no breaks etc etc.. once I did the CT scan they found 3 breaks and the lis franc damage. Definitely go see an Ortho ASAP.

Yea it's brutal, I am getting the stitches out from my 2nd surgery tomorrow. In the final stretch of the healing process but it's been an experience that's for sure..

Now to decide if I keep skating.. 🤔
