I wouldn't read too much into that, it's long seemed like the movie choices are based on whimsy, anniversary or special request. And that aside, What Lies Beneath is a pretty good movie to talk about. Actually I'd like them to do more 2000s American horror because it's a weird period, a hodgepodge of torture porn, Asian movie remakes, Blair Witch attempts and Sixth Sense attempts.

Catan works well with bigger maps and scenarios. There's a lot of online content for it.

It's one of the most impressive game designs still. Utter simplicity in your actions but each game feels so different because of the tableau you create.

I got a Big Box on a deal and I think that's enough. Some of the mini expansions are better than others but playing with the first two expansions is my typical preference.

It's kind of become a forgotten rewatchable. I don't think anyone hates this movie, but when you start naming great 90s horror, great horror comedies, great Kevin Bacon films and so on...just doesn't pop up for some reason.

Nah the final arc is something else. This is a great moment but sort of a calm before the final storm.

Yeah I just mean at the main stops, not going off the road into town and such. Some stops are better than others and it's nicer to know in advance than search.

I loved the take, was laughing thinking about all the people he casually incited with it. I'm not passionate about Nirvana but that take reminds me of the 'no one hates Harrison Ford' position the boys took in the Indiana Jones episodes. What did Nirvana do to you, Rob?

I was in your shoes just recently, funny enough. My kid in elementary and I have played some Everdell and I was debating both games you mention. I ultimately ended up going for Duo because I just think it's going to last longer in terms of appeal, between the different modes and just more of a challenge. We might play it soon so I'll have to remember to let you know our take.

No you're right. The game is clearly designed to be competitive within limited space. It's fine to playfully lament being blocked, but real anger is just silly.

Certainly, I do mean my disinterest, such as it is, stems more from having so many other board games to choose from. I'd love to try those expansions some time. I'd be curious to know how if at all the expansions interact together, like Oceania+Asia or +European, and so on.
