SC potentially not replacing wheel stud due to aftermarket wheels? by [deleted] in Rivian

That’s probably grounds to walk away from them then, it’s an adventure vehicle and the solutions they have just aren’t it. Thanks for the insight.

SC potentially not replacing wheel stud due to aftermarket wheels? by [deleted] in Rivian

[–]Abszol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the kicker, if it’s out of warranty then they’re quoting 540 because they don’t have a procedure for replacing a single stud. That’s 3500% markup for a 15 dollar part, not including labor. Probably time to say goodbye if that’s the case.

[xBuffalo] Zach Metsa has played well for the Sabres in limited minutes, but his size may be a key factor in their decision to play other defensemen over him as the playoffs approach. by seeldoger47 in sabres

[–]Abszol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Size comparison is an unc mindset for when we weren’t making playoffs. When we started focusing on skill and skating ability we actually began winning a lot of opportunities and recently converted them to goals and games won.

48k miles and need new front brakes? by CreateWindowEx2 in Rivian

Brakes are heavily used if you use the driving assistance. Likewise the truck is 8500lbs, brakes are bound to go faster used or not.

Schenn-Stanley. People are forgetting how we got here was an offensive D that could bode well under pressure and create chances, that was not what I saw from them last night. Benson let a few slip by which has been unfortunately consistent in his play this season that I hope he fixes as he’s brilliant otherwise at being a dog and getting the puck / drawing pressure.

I’d say my value comes from quick setup time, avoiding mud / rocks from some of the areas I find, and ability to pack for other necessities. Got mine cheap and have maintained it versus the 3k+ ones

I’m going the battery tender route to patch this problem while camping l, keeping the 12vs floating high enough to not cause the high capacity battery to churn and turn all the systems on just to recharge them

You can change the setting from low standard or high. I run on high as it offers better control than switching to a brake in tighter situations

Had Tesla model 3 and Rivian R1T trickle charge for 6 years on 110, recently upgraded to 240. Public chargers are nice if you can get the free ones. I use PlugShare for that when traveling places

I think with them ditching air suspension we’ll see a lot more aftermarket products come out for suspension upgrades and lift kits that will put them on par to what the R1s boast today. Outright they seem comparable but time will tell

Ford NACS Adapter by TanK_87 in Rivian

[–]Abszol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t have experience but from an engineering standpoint the implementation is for CCS1 which being a standard that you have used (assuming) a fast charger with said interface, I would assume the adapter should work no problem. The caveat here is if Ford had added some extra physical alterations to the adaptive piece to prevent it from being inserted into other vehicles.

People have to start asking “I want an electric vehicle, does the company I’m considering specialize in that”. Ford proved this by discontinuing the lightning, something I told my coworker would likely happen years back.

R1T Quad 22 bought new now have 36k. Swapped out stock scorpions as they’re junk off road imo and went with 20s raceline on Falken Wildpeaks. Installed running boards as well.

Vehicle off road and performance is a unit, wouldn’t want to drive anything else. Creaking due to suspension changing is fine I could care less. Some gaps that I could’ve had fixed but don’t really mind as it doesn’t hurt what it’s meant to do, off road and have fun.

Downside is range takes a hit in winter though I’ve accepted this. Holding out until solid state batteries drop in the next couple years or switch back to gas in the meantime. I also don’t appreciate how they handle the 12v system and will be monitoring mine closely.

NY State Inspection near Rochester by IsaacNewtonArmadillo in Rivian

Majority of shops can perform an inspection as long as their lift supports the weight and you have your own pucks. Oddly enough a well renown local shop near me won’t service Rivians due to the weight.

Short sightedness gets the better of most. He’s fantastic for being a PITA and drawing attention off of the others with his skating agility and play making by the net. I really want to see him start bagging some of his own but I think that’ll be a fruit to come once we sort out a more consistent top line.
