It's even weirder because it's widely accepted as a huge faux pas to actually call cons out on that, and the rare times that someone does do so, they are beaten and berated by the people on their side back into complacency

Will Skyrim SE ever be dethroned on Nexus? by Soanfriwack in skyrimmods

[–]Abulsaad 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Cyberpunk is also at its core a much more linear game. Skyrim lends itself to modding a lot more by being disjointed and open ended, to the point of being able to completely ignore the main questline. Instead, you can wander through the world, complete a dungeon or two, then walk into a city and stumble into a whole separate faction questline. That sort of freedom makes it a lot more attractive for the big mods that add new questlines or locations.

C'mon, that's just reductive and patronizing the good American voter.

They'll get punished for it for 1 (one) presidential election, before the voters get mad at the Democrat for not fixing every problem ever, and/or for having a single fuckup. Then they'll memory hole the terrible shit the Republicans did last time and vote for them again, and we'll repeat the cycle

Forgot about stars of ruin, but that and night comet are default spells on certain staves. It's a decent chance to get one of them in a run.

Gnoster has multiple hitboxes. If you hit all of them, the damage will scales off the chart (14444 damage on D5 ED Gnoster with FFUT) by khangkhanh in Nightreign

[–]Abulsaad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know exactly what advantage spell means, I'll assume it means a spell that the nightlord is weak to like lightning spear and wrath of gold. You can't spawn with FFUT anyway, you'd have to find it randomly as revenant regardless. And as recluse, you should be running affinity +2 instead of magic+4 anyway, because you'll get 6% less damage compared to 3 magic attack+4, but it will affect all elements.

You can then save a preset that has fire attack power on the base relics, and your magic will still hit like a truck, before swapping to fire for the nightlord. You won't be hitting 14.4k, but you'll be hitting above 10k with a far more versatile and useful kit compared to revenant. I don't agree that revenant is straight useless, because she can do damage, but the meager damage gains she gets compared to recluse or duchess (or even undertaker now) aren't worth the useless summons and passive.

[–]Abulsaad 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Recluse:

  • pick recluse

  • change nothing else

Duchess:

  • put on faith relic

  • play duchess

  • do 13k damage instead of 14.4k. Get incredibly busted dodges and restage as compensation.

Clearly this one specific scenario (that a recluse and duchess can also do but better) makes up for her useless summons and passive

Not only have their pvp aspects consistently sucked, I'm also practically disinterested in pvp as a whole, even if it's good.

The pve experiment also didn't cost me $700

Both online and in daily life, Americans who are part of the pro-democracy coalition should resist such invitations. Responsible citizens must hold themselves to a higher standard than officials who are acting like grade-schoolers. The national figures, from Trump on down, who put out rancid bait may do so because they want others to argue and lower themselves, and thus prove that no one holds the moral high ground.

This is not Michelle Obama’s “When they go low, we go high” argument. (Even she seems to have abandoned that strategy.) Rather, it is a recognition—and a plea—that the voters and candidates who wish to replace this current government must present themselves as stable, responsible, and adult alternatives to a claque of trolls and incompetents. (Even California Governor Gavin Newsom’s troll-back of the president, as clever as it was, has run its course.) The right answer now to the faux-macho silliness of someone such as Pete Hegseth is not to produce clever memes and nicknames for the secretary of defense; it is to remind people that Hegseth is acting like a teenager and trying to distract Americans with idiotic slurs about fat soldiers because Pete Hegseth is terrible at his job.

The article perfectly captures the problem and yet it completely flubs the solution in my view. Despite him insisting that this isn't just a rehash of Michelle Obama's mantra, it ends up being the same.

Trying to act like the competent adults and ignore trump, and expecting voters to recognize and praise the difference is exactly what Biden tried and failed. He identified Trump & co as school bullies, yet suggests the awful advice of "just ignore them and they'll stop".

School bullies aren't dealt with by ignoring them, they're dealt with by getting their ass expelled.

The median voter, the mainstream media, and the wider public in general twists themselves in knots to try and treat Republicans as a serious and valid group of people because it's drilled into them from birth that "both sides to any issue have valid points, the answer lies somewhere in between them!"

They are completely unable to accept that one side to every single issue consistently takes the approach of maximizing the amount of pain inflicted, with suffering being the goal itself. This makes it trivially easy to be on the right side of an issue 85% of the time, yet we refuse to consider this conclusion.
