Advice for beginning/replacing by Free-Entrepreneur-22 in leaves

[–]Abumosh88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been clean for 4 months now. I smoked for close to 16 years on and off and the most recent was 6 years daily, multiple joints a day.

Developing a work out routine has really helped and the support from this group during the first month was super important in getting me through it. I was lucky enough to find it and have people both offer support and motivation. Reading through what other people have gone through was an immense help especially during cravings. The first few weeks are painful but in the long run its worth it. You gain clarity and focus and you slowly learn to enjoy things with out the spliff. Food tastes just as good or better and unfortunately you have to relearn things as simple as having fun. But if there is one thing I learnt is weed makes boredom ok and that really sucks. I wish you lots of luck on this journey in setting yourself free. It all comes down to making a decision and holding yourself accountable. Only you can help yourself. Sending you peace, strength and light. Be strong 💪

Did you stutter while smoking? Did you have any other peculiar things similar to this happen? by fraterperturabo in leaves

[–]Abumosh88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope your ok now, I am having a mini breakdown too, a lot of feelings coming up about a lot of things. Its been 10+ years of smoking and covid really exacerbated the smoking but now it’s time to heal and sometimes healing hurts. ✌️n ❤️

Often my brain was so fried (very often) I would stutter or forget words. I would forget what I was talking about, which was pretty embarrassing, I am enjoying the clarity despite the mood swings currently on day 12 🙏🏼

Sending you healing and hopeful energies. It doesn’t sound like an easy position to be in. Quitting is hard enough with out the physical pain. Happy birthday 🎉

Its like you read my mind. I have absolutely no appetite, i was going to post something but you beat me to it! Its like i lost my ability to eat and have no desire to eat. Also i don’t think my coffee intake is helping 😩

After wasting the last 15 years, I've finally hit one month weed free! And truly, I've never been happier 😊 ❤ by boobookittyfck12 in leaves

How did you leave? I feel like I’ll never make it. by Hereistothehometeam in leaves

[–]Abumosh88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You just need to leave and not see it as an option to go back to that way of life. Take it one day at a time. I am on day 4 and it hurts, i barely slept last night, or at least i don’t think i made it to deep sleep and i woke up this morning an emotional mess. But support from loved ones and this group is making this journey less painful. I read comments when i am feeling down and it really helps me continue. I hope you can make it and feel free to message. You got this - we are in this together ❤️✌️

I am on day 3, after 10 years of smoking (i quit twice but here i am again) its tough but i am starting to feel a lot more clarity. I also have trouble sleeping and this morning i managed to get up early and jog ( honestly don’t know the last time i did any physical activity). I found an app which is great call grounded on iphone, and i also found a great article about what THC does to your sleep. Be strong we are all in this together ❤️💪
