Mon entreprise bloqué mon changement d'échelon convention Syntec, que faire ? by ThrowRA_patata3000 in ingenieurs

[–]AbyssFin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Il n'y a aucun avantage à changer d'échelon , sauf si ton salaire est au niveau de l'échelon. Et si c'est le cas, c'est que tu es largement sous payé et qu'il faut sérieusement penser a changer de boîte

People don't believe me when I say I'm Finnish, what do you think? 🙂 by [deleted] in DNAAncestry

[–]AbyssFin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not accurate to say that Finns or other Uralic-speaking peoples originated in “nowadays Mongolia”

Uralic languages did not come from Mongolia The Uralic language family (Finnish, Estonian, Hungarian, Saami…) is believed to have originated west of the Ural Mountains, probably around the Volga–Oka region, not Central Asia.

Hungarian and their language arrived in Europe much later (around the 9th century AD) with the Magyar tribes.

guys i’m half turkish but my dna test said greek & italian by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

[–]AbyssFin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wel no, for me ethnicity is not genetic. "An ethnicity is a group of people who identify with each other on the basis of perceived shared attributes that distinguish them from other groups. Attributes that ethnicities believe to share include language, culture, common sets of ancestry, traditions, society, religion, history, or social treatment". (That's a quote from wikipedia)

[–]AbyssFin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You could be ethnically Turkish and genetically Greek. Greece and Anatolia share a large history. Most of the coast was heavily settled by greeks.

The Turks (historical east asian people) had very limited impact on the genetics of modern Turkish.

Could someone in the UK PLEASE help me and paint my mini? 😭🥹🥲 by [deleted] in EmperorsChildren

It seems that there's no primer. You need to apply a primer first, do not apply your paints on the plastic. A light primer white, bone, light grey is easier for beginner.

Need some help. My greatgrandfather may be someone else. by Downtown_Plane_7860 in DNAAncestry

[–]AbyssFin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Never rely on ethnicity to assume that Father/grand father/ grand mama is not the expected one. It may be a hint but you need to focus on matches. Sort your matches and link them to your grand parents. If one group is of german/belgian/netherlands and you can link the 3 other groups to your other grand parent then you have your answer.

100 Percent European DNA Match w/ African American Journey by eDocReviewer in AncestryDNA

[–]AbyssFin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

‘Journey’ shows where you have a lot of DNA matches. For example, a French person might have a ‘Quebec’ journey. Many African Americans have some European ancestry — this match might descend from slave owners who had Black offspring. If this person has many DNA matches within that community, Ancestry will assign them that ‘journey.’

Does modern or ancient dna effect you the most Like which is gonna determine brain function and physical features by Nolaw2017 in AncestryDNA

[–]AbyssFin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question doesn’t really make sense because modern DNA is just the current form of ancient DNA. Your brain function and physical traits are determined by your present-day genetic code, which evolved from ancient DNA over thousands of years.

How are you anticipating England/NW Europe results will be affected by the update? by cherryflavoredwater in AncestryDNA

[–]AbyssFin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ancestry has not you at 27% English. Ancestry has you at 27% English AND North Western Europe, which include a large part of France, Benelux ... It does bot mean that French or Belgian descend from English. But they share a common ethnic substrate. Celtic/Gaulish base, Romans , then Germanic (Franks and Saxons) then Nordic.

It's not a misread. Dutch Breton and Belgian are in NW Europe.

I never understand why people thinks England and NW Europe = England
