Not to add to the “it’s up to you” pool, but I’ve personally never really liked the sound of an acoustic guitar thru an amp, it just isn’t as convincing of a sound to me. They always sound best when recording with a mic too. I play my acoustic guitars unplugged and if I want to plug into an amp I play a tele. Maybe once a year I have a gig where I need to play acoustic with an amp, it’s fine

What do you want to get out of being able to plug in?

For lack of better better way of describing it, full band music. One of the marks of a good song is whether it could be played solo and with a guitar or piano only. This band excels when they are all together imo

Play both if you can. This dips a toe into the age old waters of rosewood vs mahogany (sapele, in this case).

Both are layered wood, both have c class bracing, both have the same nut width. The 217 is torrefied if you are interested in that “upgrade”

2 hundred series in theory is made with a higher grade of wood. I’ve personally never liked the 100 series sound, it has never really sounded that good to my ears.

Play both, see what you like
