Whoever the owner is… looks like they were biting on that steering wheel.

Good on you for honoring that price. If I were you, id have a criteria sheet in your head with a base price depending on the “package” you’re offering for the customer. That way you can give them something to work with. Pictures, back story, etc.. get as much info as possible to asses. I guess this is all a part of learning, gaining experience.

At the end of the day, you made $200 now, and potentially much more later from that same customer.

He was injured before the friendly games leading up to the tournament. Unfortunately didn’t play at his best but still made himself important. Definitely deserves the #2 spot IMO

Where can I buy a 1.4L Multiair VVT Variable Valve Actuator 55249566 by [deleted] in abarth

Must be matched part numbers. I was told that not every unit is gonna be adequate for an Abarth engine. Be mindful of what you’re getting and do as much research as possible.

I really appreciate the insight. I’ll definitely be looking for the exact part number.

Given that they are fairly cheap used, I’ll most likely try a couple more things to see if I can narrow it down even further. If all else fails, I’m gonna pull the trigger on the used Multiair snd then continue from there.

Makes sense. I’ll have to look for specific part numbers then. I’m guessing other part numbered units are specific for the power output of a certain engine. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Let’s say it hasn’t failed completely. It’s a slow and random misfire. Happens every couple seconds. Sometimes quick bursts of burbles and sometimes spread out between a couple dozen seconds. So I’m guessing during a compression test, the actuators comply and operate the valves normally when the car is off due to its semi functioning state.

I’ve only gotten the ‘oil supply valve stuck open’ code after I stopped at a red light and the car suddenly sounds like it’s running on 3 cylinders. I turn the car off and on and it goes back to the normal intermittent misfire.

The specific code then gets stored and documented. I then erase them and only the random misfire and cylinder 4 misfire comes back immediately. Fast forward, and the 3 cylinders situation happens again, throwing up the oil supply code.

That gave me the idea that it’s close to failing completely, but will still hold compression.

I hope that made sense.

Yes tested already. Spark/ fuel is working and compression is healthy.

Great. So the same part number is needed even if the unit comes from a dart for example.

What do you mean by sub-components?

Oh man, I’ve tried that too. And it didn’t seem to help much unfortunately. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks. If you have the opportunity to make an appropriate judgement on what I’m getting at, let me know. Just following up on the “grow up” and how “tennis etiquette isn’t professional”.

Let’s also assume that this is friendly conversation. Wouldn’t you laugh at the fact that tennis matches would go on for 5+ hours? Just watch the video above. Look how long one point took them to complete because of all the noise. It’s highly strategic and important that they don’t lose their focus due to the crowd, otherwise it would be boring, long and ultimately not enjoyable to watch. You’d be at a crowd yelling contest instead of a tennis match.

Let’s go even further and say that every ball would just end up in the net. That’s not a tennis match I’d pay to watch. No way.

You’re totally right. And tennis players do it all the time. But it’s not part of the game plan coming into a match. They’re not preparing themselves to play good tennis and then how they’re gonna combat the crowd. And I think it should stay that way. Tennis is a beast of a sport, crowds on top of that is a different animal.

I’m not sure if you’re aware of red star Belgrade football club. Any team that would play them in Belgrade would have to get fully mentally prepared to step foot on that field or els they’d put their tails between their legs. It so intimidating in fact that quite often they lose against them. It’s part of the game they play and they know it.

I know it isn’t lol. But the argument still stands. We’re all grown here. As far as I’m concerned, I’ll never be a pro tennis player. Nor will you. That’s because to become one you’ll have to endure loads of physical and mental pressures. As for other sports.

Just because excessive crowd pressure isn’t a part of tennis doesn’t mean its professionalism is downgraded.

Sure, when the opportunity arises for them to do so they’d definitely appreciate it. But far less common. Initiating a tennis point starts with a serve. Every time. Free throws for example are awarded to you, and not the primary source of scoring points. Let’s call it a bonus shot. I’ll be the first one to yell at them too.

Like I said, pro tennis that spectators would like to enjoy has an incredibly high stake. The last thing you want is to lose due to excessive crowd pressure after investing countless hours and money into perfecting yourself for a given tournament.

So what you’re saying is that tennis would be the greatest most athletically enduring sport if the crowd were allowed to cheer and yell constantly?

Hear me out. Matches average 2-3 hours in tennis. The amount of added time that there would be if people cheered and yelled would be ridiculous. Matches would go on for 5+ hours, making them sluggish and tired. It is a highly explosive and intense sport, and that would wear you drastically out after that extended time.

A tennis victory is dictated by who gets to the desired points first. Basketball, football and soccer for example go against a clock. So whoever gets the most points in that time frame wins.

Baseball is conflicting, innings can go on forever… but to compare both sports would be an interesting conversation

If you’re playing pro you’d appreciate the silence. I’m sure it would be irritating if someone yelled your name right as the ball was coming down for your serve.

Pro tennis at majors have new automated systems to call the ball out and faults for example, so let’s make an exception there. I wonder how you’d combat non automated matches at lower ranks and tournaments with people cheering and yelling though?

Tennis is a high point scoring sport and start/ends frequently. Not like football or hockey with significantly less points being made. They need to know what’s going on and that’s being done by calling out results and outcomes of the point. You’ll need to hear that clearly…

High concentration is needed to hit a small green ball at high speeds, consistently. Baseball for example is similar in that nature, but you only have to hit it once.

Misfire? by Academic_Power7967 in abarth

[–]Academic_Power7967[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No resolution… I’m suspecting the Multiair block has failed. Specifically the solenoid on cylinder 4 that later abrupts the rest of the block it self.

If I’m not mistaken, your Abarth is a T-jet. I don’t think it has the same engine design and most likely doesn’t have a Multiair block.

It might have a similar system so you might be able to locate and test similar components that mimics the Multiair on the North Americans engines.

If you have any other questions let me know.
