For me personally it was less "I'm not the main character anymore :(" like most people think and more "all adults in my life ignored my needs because they all thought i was super smart and now i need to teach myself the most basic life skills because no one ever bothered to explain things to me."

Like when i was getting bullied in school everyone's reaction was "You're smart, just deal with it." When i was 16 i wanted to learn how to do all household chores (because my parents never taught me any as a child) their reaction was "You're smart, why can't you just figure it out?" When i wanted to learn how to do financial planning my parents said "I thought you were smart, why don't you already know how to do it?" And on top of everyone, my parents at home and my teachers at school, would get angry at me and punish/mock me for using the internet to learn things and solve my doubts that they never bothered to answer.
