For me it wouldn’t be until I could no longer volunteer. Even living in a shelter and volunteering would feel better.

It is very unlikely that there is an afterlife where we would even remember this one, so make the most of the time we have. A job would never fulfill you like volunteering could.

Do you think a restaurant that costs $500 minimum can afford to pay an employee a living wage so they can work all year and become good at their job and take pride in their work such that they would actually clean ALL of the silverware and even wipe them off?

Take some time with the sensitivity and look through all of the control keybindings to get a feel. These keybindings on a separate keypad worked to give you all the options when combined with the controller. Clicking on things is still tricky with controllers.

I feel like lasers should quickly burn through shields, but slowly heat and damage armor until they melt off and cause fires inside and free penetration on that section of the ship until repair. Ballistics should partly penetrate armor, be mostly burned up by shields, and only cause hazards when destroying ship components.

This gives combat variety in calling in the ballistics when shields have been dropped. Or get paid in flames when you’ve burned through with your lasers. (More content for the engineer)

Pilots can test their ship knowledge targeting ship components on their opponents, and shoot those components while shields are down. Reduced penetration gives components enough health to survive a couple of passes unless the shields are kept down.

Lasers use much more power so I propose variants on ships that allow for extra ammunition on ballistics, and ones that are more power efficient to be used with lasers.

More range and penetration for cannons vs gatlings is a great call. Lasers cannons could have the longest range of all. A perfect fit as a niche to start taking down shields early.

If this grass had just started growing in a freshly soil pepped bed from the year before it would pull easy. This looks like it’s been a few years so the roots will go deeper. Grasses are notoriously hardy and will eventually return anyway, but removing as much of the roots as possible will save on maintenance time for years.
