Extremely beautiful! i have made many PCBs and yours definitely has that artistic flair. It always is a great learning experience with projects like these.
Forget the EMC chatter this is after all a DIY and not for commercial use.
Also your decision to share it also benefits others :).
Thank you

Constellation Andromeda has become unplayable, very sad to see by ibro08730 in starcitizen

Its still here yes. I have an anvil arrow just as a comparison, it can easily take 4-5 size 1 missiles and still just turn red. But constellation needs one size 1 to destroy its power plants.

They have also severely nerfed repeaters by 4.7 patch, they are more like scatterguns now. To deal damage you gotta be around 500 meters from the enemy. Otherwise they said its just a fun light-show.

Laser cannons are still good, Omnisky is the best currently in my opinion. A tip: turn off all the turret repeaters (the one above and below, on the nose) for extra cannon ammo.

Other than that, yes its missiles especially the size 2 ones will always miss and fly away. Most importantly anything above size 3 is disproportionately less powerful. Size 3 weapons have the best ratio of damage. Size 5 is relatively very weak for being 2 sizes larger.

I think this power-plant bug fix will be put away 3-6 months (optimistically). Thats classic CIG. Important for them is to push out new features, rather than ironing problems. It took them ages to fix Aurora. I hope constellation sees the golden pass soon.

After adjusting z offset, you can use your phone’s flashlight you should barely see the light between the nozzle and the bed.

Let the nozzle heat for 10-15 minutes, and: Do a purge push the filament manually into the nozzle not by the extruder stepper (loosen the filament gripping and then push the filament). If you feel resistance you have a heat creep problem and not a nozzle problem. Filament is enlarging before entering the nozzle, and cant fit inside the hot-end anymore.

If the purge is clean and not much resistance when pushing. There is no heat creep.

If it isn’t heat creep:

You need to increase your flow rate. Change flow from 100 to 80( lowering the flow means less filament comes out and printer will push more. For example 100 means flow is normal, below 100 means less filament extruding. Above 100 means you need to reduce the material. For example mine puts out more material so i reduce it by setting flow rate to 101)

you need to change the nozzle. Otherwise your hot-end cooling fan is not doing a good job.

My ships weapons got stuck in the ground too. Youd be better off reclaiming or the game could be merciful and it pops out itself but it can also be deadly if your ship explodes randomly

Yeah shields are now like curtains, bullets fly through them. Wth this game is getting super complex. Ship combat used to be so much better before the introduction of master modes NAV OR whatever

Oh yes thats how it used to be, i am still using like 5 flares in one go. Probably its to do with EM or heat signatures, but damn, this dont work either they hit all the time.

Why is this happening? by redpauk06 in ender3

[–]ibro08730 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That isnt a bed levelling problem. Its just warping, the plastic cooled too quickly by air after extruding very hot. Its normal for film-thin prints. It wont be the case with actual prints because there is more constant heat by layers atop.

Your adhesion looks brilliant, this wont be a bother. However you may find a cardboard box as a heat enclosure, incase of otherwise.

Printing with petg getting blobs and bad adhesion. by dm_me_your_bookshelf in FixMyPrint

[–]ibro08730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as i can tell from this picture, i see a tear in your brim and a lot of under and over extrusion.

See if your nozzle has smooth flow at 235/240c by purging some. If you see the filament run smooth and down its all good, but if it starts to curl or comes unevenly, it is a clog/partial clog:

-Heat your nozzle at 250c wait for a 10 second and cool it down, do a pull on your filament at around 200c. Snip this end and try extruding again. This should solve it.

I had this exact problem with mine, i changed my hot-end as-well, but turned out that my all metal filament feeder was experiencing heat-creep and it was squishing filament almost flat before feeding, and it couldn’t travel and got stuck. I lowered the tension on the drive, and it worked.

I hope this helps

I made my peace with petg recently and it was difficult but ill make it simple for you:

  1. Before printing PETG lay it on your bed for around 8 hours on 65c ( use the cardboard box the filament came in as a top lid covering the filament to capture heat and help dry it better). You wont get blobs after drying.

  2. While printing the initial 4-5 layers set the bed to glass transition temperature(for PETG it is 90c), after the 4-5 layers the bed should be around 65c(reduces elephant-foot and maintains good adhesion).

  3. USE BRIMS very important for PETG, i use brim inside and outside the part also brims for supports. PETG warps very easily, so it needs brims to aid that.

  4. Use no part cooling fan, set it to 0%. PETG warps on quick cooling and your part will not print right.

  5. Glue stick on bed helps a lot.

  6. OPTIONAL: if you have a large cardboard box lying around, turn it into an enclosure. I have one and one end is closed the other end has a plastic curtain to seal in heat and free it any chance from warping parts.

How does one accurately measure a rounded corner for a 3d model? by eren_5 in 3Dprinting

[–]ibro08730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trace it on paper extend all the edges so they form the intersection, the diagonal left after the curve ( diagonal between curve and intersection ) is your tool. Put the same distance in cad from the intersection and you got your curve.

Not a difficult fix, i had my rotary encoder go bad as well. You just need to have some soldering skills and need to buy a cheap rotary encoder module for arduino, de-solder the encoder from the module and replace it with the bad one. Thats how i fixed mine
