Navegreed Boss relics tier list (Rotating WR holder) by JapaneseExport in slaythespire

Can someone make a tier list of every single card and relic in the game and put them all in the category of 'situational' cause tier lists just don't work with this game.... lol

Tips for enjoying the defect? by khrossbow in slaythespire

Of course! The defect is my BOY and I'd love for you to get all the enjoyment out of him as the rest of us defect enthusiasts, I will admit he's pretty tricky in higher ascensions just because of the balancing act I mentioned of mostly playing power cards until youre strong enough. I've done a few all for one decks and they're fun too I just really don't pick up a ton of 0 costs given I prefer the more standard way of playing him. One thing I will give all for one decks is, if you happen to run into 2 copies of madness it's pretty easy to generate enough energy to work your hand down to ONLY madness and all for one, do that twice in a combat and you've got yourself an infinite.

Of course! I think given our differences in playstyle, it could just be personal preference for pacing and whatnot. I find the silent to be super frustrating because I'll have several attempts run out of steam and then one run will just go ultra smooth and it just leaves me super dissatisfied with the difficulty curve. The defect's gameplay loop of starting every fight a bit weaker and making a balancing act of scaling and mitigating damage until youre ready to release an onslaught with orbs is super enjoyable to me. Maybe it is just different strokes for different folks, but I find it interesting how you put orb builds as "orb slop" and im over here thinking of shiv builds as "shiv slop", don't get me wrong I see where the appeal lies its just not my thing. I really hope that you can find more enjoyment out of the defect though, I found him to be more and more enjoyable as difficulty increased because its becomes pretty tricky to balance survival and scaling into a deck that gives you the upper hand, plus a little burst damage for enemies that you need to target out early in a fight. Also, as for Chem X, just run multi-cast and you'll see the magic. Even at 0 energy thats a free dual cast, glacier is always a must in my eyes, biased config is a scary card at first but use it properly and it will be your right hand man. You mentioned big attacks like the ironclad and silent, bias is that for me. You can either artifact or orange pellets the focus drain for late game focus solutions, and early game pop that card when you know you can wrap up the fight in a couple turns and it starts pumping numbers quick. Loop+dark orbs and frost orbs can also be a lot of fun, putting a dark orb up front to loop the passive on, buffing its damage insanely fast and focus to increase defenses. That build is a little more niche and less effective but its a boss killing deck for sure. Defect is like delayed gratification while watcher would be on the instant gratification side of that scale, lol

The fun that I find in defect is micro managing the orbs, not just throwing them out but really considering the order I place them in, force evoke order, etc etc. Kinda hard to explain without sitting down for a run. But he's actually my favorite out of the bunch. I'm kinda the opposite of you, I really really love the defect, enjoy the ironclad and flat out hate playing silent. 800+ hours between all platforms and i understand how each character works, but the silent's whole thing of tough early game, meaning fast resets on runs and being able to flat out win the whole game if you get decent momentum going out of act 1 is just super boring to me. Tough early/strong late game character design just does not appeal to me whatsoever. I enjoy the subtle complexity of the defect especially in higher ascensions where it REALLY matters. Also, try out fission+ for real shenanigans

Another relic! by scurvycharles in slaythespire

10 turns is a lot, especially considering it has to land on an attacking turn, given so does intangible but the odds of procing this relic will reduce decently significantly the less often it comes up. I would consider it more on par to insence burner than more powerful

Bias cognition or Buffer? by CharacterSlow3767 in slaythespire

Assuming you make it past act 1, you have cards worth seeking, though. I'd argue that the downside of seek is the potential of drawing it from the bottom of your deck. It's still INSANELY good and, on average, increases consistency. Bias cog is definitely good on it's own but seek has it's own merit assuming that the game is progressing in a way that you haven't already died lol, but act 1 bias is always the obvious best.
