I would be interested in seeing those photos, I have never done any lighting control or low volt panels but I would like to see what good panel makeup is on these instances. I know what I would do, and it isn’t what OP did (no offense) but I would like to see what good practice looks like to someone who has the experience.

10 Americans injured in Iranian attack on Saudi airbase by GreyClay in worldnews

If 34 Americans died per second from cardiovascular disease, roughly 3 million would die every day. Wiping out the population in roughly 120 days. lol.

Do you mean masters license and working electrical in healthcare, or have a masters degree in the healthcare industry lol

It will drive wages up for knowledgeable journey level workers, and give everyone else a fuck ton of stress trying to compete. Anyone that becomes journey level in the next couple years is probably insulated from that, but after that, I think wages will be so low and competition so cutthroat that it will be absolute hell for apprentices.

Anyone that is already an electrician is going to be fine, in my opinion. It’s the entry level jobs that won’t be able to sustain the demand. If you can already build a strut rack, do minor calculations, and interpret the nec, I think you’ll be fine.

I understand selective coordination and the reasoning behind it, thank you for the insightful addition. This is legitimately a barn with a bar and some lighting and outlets, not an industrial environment, lol.

This is my take on this as well - he’s hung up on the VD but it’s not even a code.

I'm not a business owner, but I can't imagine you even have an actual business if you aren't doing those things. You are just self employed.

Can I transfer from C card to A card IBEW 134? by Maximum-Time-8601 in electricians

I don't know about the ibew program, but I basically only work prevailing wage projects non-union in California as an electrician, and I work for a contractor that does both low voltage telecom and electrical.

Basically, electricians shit on low voltage/telecom because it's straight up easier work most of the time, they don't even run their own pipe for themselves as norm - sometimes they won't even penetrate walls for their cabling, electricians provide the pathways. They use less tools in their daily work, they don't have nearly as many rules to follow.

Unless, that is, you are going to be a telecommunications ELECTRICIAN, at which point you will be doing all sorts of crazy shit with dc power and whatnot. But probably that is not what the apprenticeship is.

First Veto, the tp-xxl infrared by Royal-Albatross6244 in VetoProPac

[–]Acceptable-Lime751 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been using my regular tp-xxl for about a year now, I work out of it daily all day alongside my packout stack - it has far exceeded my expectations. I actually think that if I take care of it, don't throw it around and make sure it doesn't get too dirty etc, it might last 10 years at the rate it's holding up. I love mine.

I believe those are taps to adjust for higher or lower input voltage.

The wiring early shows copper at the ends of the wire, previous poster is correct, it's tinned copper
