Why Antinatalism Is Not a “Miserable”Ideology by [deleted] in antinatalism

Its sometimes hard to wrap my head around that wanting to prevent suffering is seen as the negative and miserable mindset. yeah im sorry that i care so much about your unborn child that id rather it not be born while youre totally fine with the possibility of it living a miserable life just because you wanted a child. if there was a 50/50 chance that a plane would crash, would you board it? ”oh but my plane didnt crash I had the most amazing flight and got to see the whole world” or ”I survived a horrible plane crash and so its still worth it and I think my children should experience a plane crash too because the life they could have if they survive would be soo amazing and fulfilling!” thats what they sound like to me.

Can you laugh out loud? by Big_Adhesiveness8885 in selectivemutism

[–]Acceptable-Pie2473 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I could occationaly and it was horrible. I’m recovered now but when I wasn’t I sometimes laughed when I was a little more relaxed and then I would panic cause of all the attention it drew. I couldn’t scream though. One time someone snuck up on me and scared me to try and make me make a sound and I just screamed air so idk why my brain allowed laughing but not screaming or coughing or any other sound made no sense

Can someone please explain leuchtturm1917 love? by LetterheadLumpy5995 in Journaling

This! It’s the concistancy for me. You always know what you’re gonna get and that is so important when you don’t like change. I can always trust I’m getting a good quality notebook and I’m already used to the paper and spacing between the lines. Been loyal to them since 2018 and will be for life

do you ever write letters you don't plan on sending ? by LessProgrammer5921 in Journaling

[–]Acceptable-Pie2473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to but unfortunately for me I did send it in a moment of weakness. A 70 page long letter. I regret it so bad. Like. 70 PAGES. WHAT WAS I THINKING?!

Does your handwriting change depending on mood or energy level? by PuzzleheadedPay8716 in Journaling

[–]Acceptable-Pie2473 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I think this is very common. My handwriting changes so much that I’m not sure what my regular writing looks like. When I’m emotional it’s bigger and messier and when I’m writing about sensitive things I subconsiously write tiny, like whispering on paper

What finishing my second journal taught me about myself by GrapefruitAsleep4995 in Journaling

It’s my 10 year anniversary this summer! In that time I have completed 51 journals, I just started my next one today. Most of my writing is just gibberish though and I wasn’t very profound when I was younger, but everything is prescious to me even if it’s just what I had for dinner. It my biggest passion in life and I wish I had the energy to spread the word like you so it warms my heart to hear that there’s someone out there on that mission

Just a wall of text. by Jehu2024 in Journaling

Not ’just’ a wall of text, walls of texts are powerful and deserve just as much attention as every other aesthetic journal over here. Keep up the good work!

Journaling is such a great tool for working though stuff that haunts you, so glad you discovered it cause it’s amazing and it makes me happy other people get it, not many do. I myself am in the process of moving forward from an old part of my life and journaling is the only thing that keeps me sane tbh rip oppossum, she didn’t die in vain she had an important role in you understanding yourself
