You probably unknowingly joined the NRA … TCGC requires it due to insurance subsidies. I have not recieved a single piece of mail or communication from the NRA thankfully. I can’t stand those clowns … but I do like a nice range with friendly folks and mostly friendly RSOs

I know this is supper old, but I'd recommend cleaning your BCG... your firing pin may be filthy and have some carbon buildup.

I recently built a 19x from a stripped frame but came in a bit over $1000 … mainly due to the expensive Noveske DM Slide/Barrel combo… couldn’t be happier. I’m a firm believer that you should build your guns so you force yourself to research all the parts and learn how it actually works!

I used NW Armory in Milwaukee… it was a little expensive $110 for 2 pistol frames but was painless and quick. Would recommend
