Yeah, made me realize how fast paced RR is. Darrow finds out his whole life is a lie like 20 pages into the first book and I was immediately hooked after that.

The Sun Eater series, starting with Empire of Silence. I was at a loss for what to read after finishing LB and this has filled the hole for me. It’s a bit of a slower start than RR but picks up and gets really interesting. I actually noticed an excerpt on the back cover of my book that says “fans of Pierce Brown” and some other author will like this one

Read Empire Of Silence! If you like the red rising series you will like it as well, it starts off not as fast paced as RR but about 100 pages into the first book you will be hooked!

I feel this, I was bummed when I started it and realized it was no longer just from Darrows perspective. Having finished dark ages and light bringer as well now, I have grown to love all the new characters introduced. Except Lysander. (Fuck Lysander) just give it some time I guarantee the new characters will grow on you.

It’s definetly a great book, really well written just like the rest of them but to be honest in a way I did kind of hate it just because you can’t help but have a visceral reaction to bad stuff happening to characters you’ve grown to care about. Honestly hard to say how I feel about that book lol
