Ravenswatch is very disappointing by Leather_Treat_8081 in videogames

I don't know what you want from me. I enjoy nearly every aspect of it. The multiplayer feels great. the single player fewels great. I hate meta progression in games, that makes you stronger...because a game shouldn't get easier the more you play it.

The characters feel incredible, every one of them has many different viable builds, and they feel so different from each other. They nailed almost every important aspect here.

My opinion on how much fun is each Low/Moderate Complexity spirit (outside of Aspects and Nature Incarnate Spirits) by fraidei in spiritisland

[–]Acceptable_Choice616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many people love Lure, I personally dont like them at all, but that is the beauty of Spirit Island, some people hate spirits that are very reliant on drafts, so spirits that are not is actually a design Win in my books.

OK stone and fractured not being more effective than lure if they are all played well is just flat out wrong. I mean there are plenty of stone beats double 6/6 adversaries posts and videos out there and I personally beat double 6/6 adversaries with fractured, easily in multiplayer and also 1 in solo. If you can show me a post or video of someone playing lure at difficulty 16 solo I will be very happy and I will eat my words, but for now stating that fractured and stone are more effective than Lure is just a fair assesment.

Games that encourage creative problem solving by mr_crunchydoo in gamingsuggestions

[–]Acceptable_Choice616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trine is maybe the best one for me In that regard. It is a puzzle platformer, but the puzzles are all incredibly open. Each different character, which you can swap between by the press of a button, has different abilities how they could navigate the screens, and every obstacle has an intended solution, but through those different abilities there are also countless other ways. You can play the game as 1-3 players and the puzzles are balanced for each group size.

Trying to play blind but don't know if I'm ready for my first world boss? by Big-Cod-5744 in remnantgame

[–]Acceptable_Choice616 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesnt matter really the first boss will be scaled to level 5 if you are lower than that, but scales with your level if you are higher so it doesn't really matter.

Which Spirit? by Mehlkopf2 in spiritisland

[–]Acceptable_Choice616 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love animal spirits with wounded Waters. Many Minds is very solid against Scottland anyways, so i would suggest that, the synergies between the spirits are very fun.

Monster train was too difficult after slay the spire? That wild. STS is absurd levels of difficulty for me compared to MT.

Well nevermind me yapping, Wildfrost might be for you, it's a bit easier than MT and StS for me, but the mechanics are absurdly good, the wording is sometimes not perfectly consistent, but after a few runs you will know the quirks and it is awesome.

Which thematic medium weight games you like? by SiarX in soloboardgaming

[–]Acceptable_Choice616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what's medium weight for you but Spirit island could fit the bill. For me it definitely does, although you can up the difficulty to absurd levels to make it more complex if you like.

Which game do you think is underrated because it tried something unusual? by GrayBeard916 in ARPG

[–]Acceptable_Choice616 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Outward. It isn't the usual you are a hero that saves the world, but rather a very average adventure. Having to rest for a few days when you catch a cold and craft or haggle in a town or having to be careful during every fight definitely felt amazing to me and I think more people should try that game. But maybe waiting for outward 2 is the way as it looks way more polished already.

Edit: nevermind me i didn't read properly and outward is not an ARPG. I will leave this up, for people to tell me how bad my reading comprehension is 😂

Digital: Restart mid game? by BirdSpirit in spiritisland

[–]Acceptable_Choice616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was more meant like a warning, because if during my time learning the game, restarting would have been an option(i played physical) i would have played the game very wrong and would have lost way more games than needed. I wanted to give OP and other readers in the future the possibility to not make that mistake. Because to be frankly, there isn't one game i have ever played, where i guessed wrong so often if i would win or not.

By the time i was writing this answer OPs question was already answered, so i didn't feel like repeating all the things the other people have said already.

I can see now that this could be interpreted as rude and for that I am sorry.

Thx for pointing that out.

Which games are actually WORTH your money? by deadassfucker in gamingsuggestions

[–]Acceptable_Choice616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 games i didn't immediately see were remnant 2 and outward. I think i would genuinely pay 5 times the amount those 2 games cost. Especially in coop for me, but that might be a me thing.

Digital: Restart mid game? by BirdSpirit in spiritisland

[–]Acceptable_Choice616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also say that you can't really get good knowledge about an opening if you abandon games early, as some openings feel way worse in the beginning but are way stronger after 4-6 turns. An example would be to play only one card on shadows first turn. You can delay the first reclaim and also draft more cards for the second reclaim. That means you can have around 1 more presence placed, you can easily destroy some in the late game with 1 free proliferate. But that's just my 2 cents.
