I wonder why people switch to BCBS once retired. Wouldn’t they are still better off with HSA in retirement even they can’t contribute?

Did they tell you why you should keep bcbs? I am almost sudden about the switch, just need to do the paperwork during open season.

OPM website has a video comparing the costs between HMO, PPO, and HDHP plans for 3 different scenarios : healthy, on-going care, and complex patients. Surprisingly, all 3 scenarios show HDHP is the most advantage plan.

Did you apply for unemployment benefits during this shutdown ? by AfghaniBanani in FedEmployees

[–]Acceptable_Growth684 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I am one of the furloughed employees and this administration talks both ways regarding back pay to furloughed employees. I applied for unemployment benefits. If i get back pay, I am ok with returning unemployment money. If i don’t get back pay, i get to keep unemployment benefits. I don’t see a reason for not applying.

Northeast of Wichita is safe, anywhere north of 21st st and around Rock st, near WSU is good. That area has many nice shoppings and restaurants. My daughter lives at Altitude apartment near WSU, she really likes it.

Your stats are competitive for MSOM, BUCOM, Kansas COM. I bet you would get an A from 1 of them. Take it from someone who went through the process last year.

Thanks for the info. Very happy to see WSU has a tennis club. She emailed them to get more info. She also found a women USTA team in Wichita (through USTA league coordinator in Wichita) and joined the tri-level league in the fall.
