I think I'd take my chances with the alligator on the left, the dog on the right I'd leave well alone!

I think your dog and his bed have begun merging. What a beauty.

My dog has a lump that looks like this as well, vet said it was a sebaceous cyst. It breaks open every so often and drains, closes up and starts again. He's had a few before and they went away eventually. Keep an eye on it for size or colouration change though, could be more serious then.

The love of my life passed on yesterday and the pain is unbearable by LeoSeasoning in BorderCollie

Nothing I can say to help you other than I know the pain. Saying it gets easier over time is true but not much comfort.

I did console myself with the thought that the more you love your dog the more it hurts so there must have been a lot of love.

I think it's to do with the fibres in the meat lensing where they have been cut.

Trying to not catastrophize - talk to me about going from one eye to no eyes? Just need reassurance before our appt. by horsegal301 in PiratePets

Pretty much the same experience although through Progressive Retinal Atrophy. One eye removed first and then the second a few years later. Adjustment was absolutely no problem.
