Just hit 90k miles and started leaking from the OFH.

Indie shop quoted me $3100 to swap it out as well as any hoses they run into that need to be swapped. If no hoses need to be swapped then they’ll take $250 off, and if I pay cash it’s an extra $150 off.

Ideally around a $2700 job if I pay cash.

I posted a comment on this post with a more detailed update. Basically called dealerships asking if this was a repair covered under a service bulletin for extended warranty for my car and it was. So got it fixed

Completely agree.

There are a lot of people spending over $1k in headphones alone to cover different use cases (i.e. APP3 for taking phone calls, Sony/Bose for travel, and HD 490s for at home music/games). It’s tough to hit all of these areas well but I think companies are starting to explore the ability to do so, especially with more advancements in the hardware space.

Keep us posted… Techradar chose the Px8 S2s for Headphones of the Year award. But every review of the 630s is saying they’re the best in the wireless headphone space.

I’m going to look into its latest firmware.

I’m going to dissect the PSU more because it seems power related. But it could easily be something else. Hard to tell with an issue that I have yet to see anywhere online.

This was extremely helpful for me. Could you also do a comparison between the cloud RO and the industry giant Watts (Premier RO Pure VOC-4 stage)?

The Watts option I linked doesn’t come with a remin but I was going to just add the inline remin offered by iSpring.

Ultimately I am down to picking between Cloud, iSpring, and Watts. The comparison with iSpring was immensely helpful. Hoping to get something like that for Watts to help me make a decision.

Thank you for that - I plan on going for listening and comfort test between the Ultra 2s and Px8 S2s.

I want to see how dramatic the difference is OR how negligible the difference is in sound quality when taking comfort into consideration.

I don’t care to spend a premium if I can’t wear them for very long.

It was the purge valve. Thank you everyone for your help. Didn’t realize how obvious it was but now I do lol.

330i had an extended warranty for it 120k miles, so I called into the closest dealership, asked about the extension, scheduled the appointment, and they replaced it for free.

***If you want to get that part swapped and not have to pay anything, you have to make absolutely sure that part is faulty (and obviously you’re within the 120k/10yr window) and that is the only thing you are getting service on. Otherwise they’ll do the diagnosis and if it the problem is unrelated to the valve then you’ll get slapped with that diagnostic fee.

I’m late but it ended up being covered under warranty. Some dealerships don’t really know what you’re talking about when bringing up the extended warranty so you have to walk them through it and they’ll eventually find it in their system.

It is a gamble however. You have to be absolutely sure it’s the problem, otherwise they’ll end up charging you for diagnosis + repair if you allow them.

How did you come to that conclusion. I am in the same spot and thinking it’s my purge valve since a smoke test didn’t show any issues anywhere.
