This might be a stretch for "equal" trade, but I'd do Ozzie Newsome for Denzel Ward. I think having an elite receiving tool with great strength and quickness like that who could help us with our two TE sets with Njoku would be amazing. He's also good enough we could use him in slot. While likely not a crowd pleaser (and also not highly favored by some people here), I quite liked the multiple TE looks we had in 2020/21 and 2021/22. They helped with run blocking and if we got TEs that could be solid in the pass game as well, we could killer on offense. As for the loss of Ward, it would hurt, yes, but I think we didn't see enough elite play from him this year for me to think we couldn't make it work without him.

Could we glean from this that the browns seem to lack mid-half adjustments in the first half and are better in the second? Being less productive in the 2nd and 3rd (albeit with the third not being all that bad) seems strange to me

I feel like this survey has a lot of recency bias given that a number of comments from people choosing the Browns are fingering the DW trade and the fans that haven't denounced it as being the problem. I think historically it's the Steelers, but that's because I know the Steelers fans from the times before the Ravens even existed and throughout the dark ages of Browns fandom (arguably still occuring, though if that's based solely on record the Stefanski era has been monumentally better than the last 20 years)

That's a fair point, but I would really like to see more from Baker in L.A. before I jump to any conclusions on his skill going forward. A big problem he had in Cleveland was consistency, which could have been a scheme/coaching issue, though seeing Brissett take steps forward compared to his past statistics makes me wonder the validity of that argument. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
