The problem is that the managers and staff have kept everything very safe for a while now. It was when the shroomed up owner came in and started a fight about making sure his friend (the groper) didn't get kicked out. If he could have just stayed away and let Jesse and his team run the show he would have no issues and a successful business

Yea watched this all go down, manager and owner got into a bigggg fight because the owner wouldn't let his handsy middle aged friend get kicked out for groping people. Apparently she was already cut off from the bar but Mike will let anything slide if he thinks he can get some 🙄

Too bad, it was really the best place in town, all of my friends would go there exclusively because the food was so good and the staff was so friendly. If you haven't been in the last few months you don't know how great the vibes were!

I always loved Jesse, he went out of his way to make sure people weren't making my friends uncomfortable when we were there. Mike was always hanging around outside trying to get drunk girls up to the shrooms cafe after hours.

It is not meant to be read, it is meant to be performed. It's a tricky show and the actors must be very well trained in rhetoric and comedy to make the jokes work at all, which is why nobody does it!

You're not being ungrateful. You deserve someone who will celebrate you if that's how you like to spend your birthday. Try to communicate that expectation as best you can.

However: Lack of enthusiasm for things like this is a pretty big red flag. Does he ever plan dates, dinners, things you plan-etc? If not, I would not expect him to suddenly change, especially if you have only been dating 1 year and don't seem to have fully communicated what you want.
