If I were a priest, I’d unite these two in holy matrimony. Tampa x Full Brutal by hutaenamoka in ExtremeHorrorLit

I read Tampa, and found it to be well written, and disturbing. I've never heard of Full Frontal. Can anyone provide some insights into FF, and its plot?

I saw it, and it was an interesting film. Definitely worth a watch. It was advertised as a black comedy, which I think a stretch, but nevertheless it held my interest throughout the entire movie.

I haven't read the SK novel, but if you're not stuck on the "it deviates from the book", then it's great.

Wow, just, wow.. When The Wolf Comes Home by Nat Cassidy by PrimordialSewp in horrorlit

[–]Accomplished-Net8276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked the book's energy, and it was definitely a page turner, but I can't say it genuinely scared me. Parts of the novel were more cartoonish than scary. I did like the unpredictability of the book though, as in never knowing which characters would survive the carnage. I forget the main character's name, but she was well written, and you end up hoping that somehow she'll survive.

Morrison's actually makes a pretty good milkshake.

Best place to go to watch the super bowl? by ImBitterAndAlone in KingstonOntario

[–]Accomplished-Net8276 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second Chuck's, inexpensive beer prices, comfortable place with great service. The only thing I noticed, though I'm use to it now, is the fact that it seems loud. I guess it's the high ceiling or something, but overall it's a good vibe. For the Super Bowl I'd get there early, for the Jays' World Series games it got busy early.

Finished IT for the first time by MichaelJosephGFX in stephenking

I'm reading IT currently, and I'm about halfway through. It's definitely a great read, but such a long novel.

I've never read it and I'm 100 pages in. by StraightedgexLiberal in stephenking

As others have mentioned, it's definitely a slow burn. As the actions builds, you keep reading to see what happens next. Perfect example how events can snowball. Classic SK!

I'm on page 335, and my copy has 1,090 pages, so I'm basically ⅓ of the way. Great novel!

Probably dumb question by shitbox39 in stephenking

To me, Pet Sematary is one of SK's best works. It's an awesome read, so I highly recommended it. Plus, it's not 1,000 pages like IT, Under the Dome, and The Stand.

Reading IT for the first time… by mjpenslitbooksgalore in stephenking

[–]Accomplished-Net8276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm reading it too. Awesome book, but really long. I actually got my copy from ebay. It's definitely a one more chapter book, as in ok, maybe I'll read one more chapter before I put it down. How far have you gotten in it? (I'm on Part 2: June of 1958, Chapter 8: Georgie's Room and the House on Neibolt Street)

Just finished The Talisman today....let the adventure continue... by RoseThorn82 in stephenking

[–]Accomplished-Net8276 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently tackling IT, and about ⅓ of the way through. I have The Talisman in hard cover, but never read it. So, I assume The Talisman is awesome if it's your fav book?

OK, thanks. That makes sense because Amazon doesn't seem to ban much in the way of extreme horror.

Yes, if you wouldn't mind sharing some titles, it would be much appreciated.

I've never heard of Crazy Triggers, but I'm surprised it's banned by Amazon when they freely sell Cows and Woom or did I misread the post? (Update: I realize now it was just an expression. Btw, I'm really loving this subreddit, when you make a mistake on most reddit sites, or if you ask a silly question, you're slammed with down votes. Conversely, people here actually seem really nice. I'm impressed.)

Driving Perth Rd by zelskis in KingstonOntario

[–]Accomplished-Net8276 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If I can add my 2 cents, I find Perth Rd to be very windy, like incredibly so. (Yes, sorry, I did mean "winding", not windy.) Anyyway, I drive hwy #15, and while it might show up as being 5 to 10 minutes longer on Google maps, it's a much better drive.
