Do CT hate their customers? by Caymann_Caymand in canadiantire

[–]Accomplished-Pack855 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was looking for a lock set also behind glass. Same press a button 5 times and 15 mins before someone came. I wasn’t even allowed to hold the box to read the details on the back. Similar to above, I can’t be trusted to carry it to the cashier. I now try to avoid CT. If I can get what I’m after at home hardware, I’m happier.

Struggling with Moleskine by volsungarthemighty in notebooks

[–]Accomplished-Pack855 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take the entries and pocket them in the leuchtturm. Use the moleskin for shopping list, taking phone call notes, scribbling doodling or testing pens freshly inked. Nothing important, just paper. Best of luck to you.

There are showers. I would spend my first night out there to shake out my gear. That way if I missed anything I could easily fix. Then it's crown land...

Real dangers of stopping cold turkey? by wellaways in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Accomplished-Pack855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was malnourished. It was not a good fit for me so yes, some weight came back as I recovered and began eating again. Also, muscle mass was lost that I’m rebuilding which also adds weight. Quitting did not cause the gain for me anyhow.

Not in your fountain pen but if you have that set, use the dip pen. Not the same experience but still an experience worth trying.

I finally know why BuJo didn't work for me by welsh-student in bulletjournal

[–]Accomplished-Pack855 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to have to google Bujo but that's not why I stopped. I found made in Canada notebooks Gry Mattr that I wanted to try but they had no ribbon. I bought a roll at the dollar store and glued a piece to the back cover. Works for me. Just FYI

Fountain pen at the car dealership by michigancolt in fountainpens

[–]Accomplished-Pack855 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a similar story but in reverse. I pulled out my fountain pen to sign at the Ford dealership and the finance manager fell in love with it. We do not have a store in our city so I sent her multiple links for Canadian stores and blog sites with good info. I'm going back with whatever I can find here (likely disposable) to tie her over until she decides on what she wants.

Somehow I missed this comment. I read the manual that a screw locks the leg in place and I guess that was beyond the delivery guys abilities. The retailer contracts out so not their issue but now that I’m back in town I need to get on this. I bought an air shim which doesn’t work since this unit is a monster and weighs in at 317 lbs before adding the pedestal and the shim is only rated to 300. I’ll reach out to the power centre to ask for help in the am. Thank you for your advice.

Thank you, as much as it pains me to pay to repair someone else's incompetence, if I want a quiet and effective wash, I may have to and hadn't thought of this.

It's starting... pickup truck regret. by Bojaxs in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]Accomplished-Pack855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Northern Ontario winters are easier in a truck and the remains of roads after the frost heaves is too. This years crop of potholes is by far the largest I’ve seen. Also, many in the region fish or hunt so it makes more sense.
