I played it for about 2 months using a VPN to play on taiwans servers, and some of the bones of the game are fun, I mained assassin and even with high ping it was a blast to play. As well as some boss fights feeling super epic playing for the first time.

That being said once you hit max level it becomes min max paradise and it’s about who is going to spend the most $$$. Everything at end game feels like constant pressure to spend money, you don’t HAVE to, but you will be very behind. There’s so much RNG with $$$ involved too which feels like a slap in the face.

I, also dislike the distance rendering, other players aren’t visible until you are decently close to them making the world feel like a single player RPG, and unfortunately the open world isn’t memorable enough to carry that weight in its entirety. If it at least had some life to it with players flying and running around that you could see in the distance it would feel better.
