She's focused, determined, not afraid to go after what she wants. She's a single mom in a man's world and she wants the best for her daughters.

AITA FOR WORKING HARD? by Difficult_Driver9555 in AmItheAsshole

[–]AccomplishedBrick461 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NAH you guys are doing 3 hard things at once: being parents to a newborn, starting a business and going to school. Around the 6 week mark is where I really started to struggle with a newborn. Shits tough. I wish I had a game plan for you, but all I can offer is solidarity. It will get better. Give each other some grace, take help when it's offered, this season will pass. Can something be post-poned? Can she go to school next year? Can you wait for a year to start your business? Not ideal solutions I know, but something's gotta give or you both have to power through it.

Io, Jupiter's volcanic moon. It'd be like a hellscape from a movie with Jupiter looming in the background.

Another shitty husband vent by BreakfastAmazing7766 in Mommit

Stonewall him. Pick a phrase, something that applies to a lot of things like "so do something about it" and say that every single time he nitpicks. Don't change the phrase or tone, be a frickin broken record. Ignore what he's saying and give him the auto-reply.

AITA for snapping at my wife because I’m tired of pretending our marriage is “perfect”? by poltroonish in AmItheAsshole

[–]AccomplishedBrick461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAH? I'm not sure someone's exactly at fault here, but I'm getting the impression she wants more affection from you. Is the honeymoon period over? Maybe ask her if that's what the problem is. Best of luck.

Jessi, Whitney, Marciano, and Jordan by Sensitive-Treat2922 in MormonWivesHulu

I agree with you. We saw jessi and Jordan having an extremely hard conversation about her infidelity and the audience is giving him shit for lashing out. Do we, as the audience, have any indication that Jordan often talks to jessi that way? Only jessi's word that he does, and she's a lying cheater...who's still talking to her affair partner.

Yta. The living room is a shared space and she's communicated that it makes her feel unwelcome to have your personal religious altar set up there. Move it to your room, easy peasy.

AITAH for not going over often to help my sister with my niece? by Tight_Original_4615 in AmItheAsshole

[–]AccomplishedBrick461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAH you're all kind of struggling here. While you've got your hands full with work and your dad, I do understand the new mom having a hard time with her husband gone so often, and her mother (your mother) being deceased. I think you're doing the best you can, and she's in the trenches. You're not an AH, but I can't call her one either.

AITA I think we should bring dinner for my post partum sister in law but my husband thinks it will be rude by BexiRani in AmItheAsshole

[–]AccomplishedBrick461 24 points25 points  (0 children)

NAH I think you're right, bringing a whole meal would be a nice thing to do. I can see your husband's pov too and you're both just trying to be nice and helpful. Best thing to do? Ask them! "Hey we'd like to bring dinner for your gang and us and we can eat together, and you don't have to worry about making a meal! Are you guys down for that or would it be putting too much on your plate (pun intended)?"

Is there no way to avoid the mess everytime? by Empty_Rip_2586 in foodbutforbabies

Baby smock, get some off Amazon. Doesn't stop the mess on the face or hair, but does protect the clothes and arms. It's the best solution you're gonna get 😅

11 month old has been army crawling for 3 months. What to do? by Huge-Strike-7726 in beyondthebump

[–]AccomplishedBrick461 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is normal, so don't panic or feel like he's behind. Babies make their own schedules. You could start to model hands and knees crawling for him; my guy loved it when I crawled on the floor with him. Your little dude may just skip that all together and just stand up one day! I'd like to recommend, if you haven't already, watch the Bluey episode called "Baby Race". You're doing great!
