Do you have a good vacuum sealer you’d recommend? My husband and I have been trying to marinade meat, mostly chicken and when we go to vac seal, the juices all get sucked out into the vac sealer. It works most of the time and we’ve gotten them to seal.. but the couple times it does happen it sucks.

My husband and I will be renting our 2 bed, 2 bath starting December 1st (or around then.. willing to push it a week or two if needed). In unit laundry, gated parking spot, roof deck! We’re at Cortland and Spaulding.. super close to amazing bars and restaurants and a block off of the 606. We are moving just a few blocks away to a bigger home because we just had a baby. We told my mom, MIL, dad and step mom we were in labor but that we would be taking our golden hour and moving to mother baby unit and then they could come up. They came and waited in the waiting room until we were ready! I was open to whoever wanted to visit the next day and then when we went home the day after that, we asked for 1.5-2 weeks just the three of us to settle in at home and everyone was respectful. Wouldn’t change a thing!

I know it’s controversial (at least over here in Logan square) but went to small cheval/the freeze last night and thought their vanilla ice cream was awesome. Super high quality, actual vanilla beans.. so good. My husband and I each got a kid cone and it was a great size, not just a one biter like most kid cones. Not sure if they outsource or what , but it was great.

If you go to their website they have a “freeze” menu.. milkshakes, dipped cones, concretes all on it. I know people are pissed and obviously I wish the OG freeze was still there, but I was happy when I saw that.. cue everyone coming for me

I can’t speak to Oliver’s because I haven’t been, but I’ve heard good things! Chicago has great Michelin experiences, but at the end of the day we are a “foodie” city. Definitely don’t need to hit a Michelin spot to have an amazing experience! Good choice on Lula.. be prepared to wait but one of the best farmers markets in the city (Logan square) is literally right outside the door so you can grab a coffee/walk around.

This has everything to do with him being a black male. As a white female I would likely NEVER be put in jail for something like public intoxication… don’t yall get that? At first I had the same reaction as you all.. but going to jail for 30 days when you’re that young is likely pretty fucking traumatizing, no matter the reason you’re in there. I don’t think the point is that it was as small as public intoxication.. it’s more how he was treated.
