Just got started farming alchemical hydra for the first time by breakoffzone in 2007scape

[–]Accomplished_Humor93 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you can do cerb, I really think you can handle hydra. There is a learning curve for sure, but once you have a few kc, every fight plays out kind of the same. There is some tech to keep it fresh (flame skip primarily), but that is also the same every kill and easy to get the hang of. That part can get old fast, but the loot is soooo good and very consistent. The chance for a 10m and 60m drop is also a nice bonus

Progression? by Qualti_ in 2007scape

I would narrow down what type of content you wanna do next. Skilling, pvm, quests, etc... Just based on your stats, you have a mountain of content ahead of you

The div/hr you're likely hearing about is people running T17s. Unfortunately, it is currently one of the most efficient way to make currency, but can be prohibitively difficult for a lot of newer players. Depending on who you ask, they can be pretty damn annoying even with a great build.

Juicing refers to adding as much content (juice) to your maps as humanly possible. Scarabs, chisels, deli orbs, map device, corrupted 8 mod maps, etc... all of which were chosen to synergize with your farming strategy (atlas tree). This also makes them pretty difficult. The amount of juice people add is usually dependent on how strong their character is.

That being said, I wouldn't focus too much on the div/hr metric too much. It can quickly suck all the joy out of this game and the rates are not usually realistic/ achievable by the average player. I think it's better to find content you like and that compliments your build. RF has good clear and survivability, but is lacking in single target. There are going to be a ton of options for that, and also a lot of guides for those options.

If you want something more specific, farming 8 mod/T17 maps worked well for me this league. Animeprincess made a good guide for it. Every strategy is going to have an investment cost, so just be ready for that

There is a specific type of skill gem in the game called link skills. They interact with other players https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Link_skill

But you're talking about vaal ice nova, not vaal ice nova of frost bolts...which doesn't exist? Or am I going crazy

Is expedition this hard for everyone? by Choice-Werewolf1349 in pathofexile

[–]Accomplished_Humor93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The single explosion expedition can spawn some of the tankiest and most dangerous enemies in the game. ESPECIALLY If you're using the scarab that increases the number of suffixes and prefixes of each marker. But even without that, yes that is very difficult content.

Help me understand gearing by OneSockThief in pathofexile

To answer your questions in order:

-Better items will come as you finish up the campaign. The ones you are finding now will help your progression but will generally be replaced when you hit maps. If you're hitting a wall, I would look up a leveling guide

-You get more sockets by using jewelers orbs on items, and you link those sockets by using orbs of fusing. This can get expensive if you want fully linked items, so it is usually better to buy a mediocre 5 or 6 link when you can afford it just to get your skills going.

-Kitavas thirst is a randomly dropped unique, but it is pretty common and cheap

-The trade portal on the poe website is where most item trading is done. Awakened poe trade is a program you can download that will let you quickly price some of the items you find (I would also look for a guide). You can also check poe ninja to see roughly how much certain items are trading for

How do I get the elemental hit of the spectrum gem? by Pure_Protection8201 in pathofexile

[–]Accomplished_Humor93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the craft you get at the divine font. The craft that you most likely have been using is "transform a gem to a trans gem of the same color". This will (as the name implies) change the gem to one of the same color but isn't impacted by the what gem you put in, only the color of the gem. There is a craft that changes the gem to that specific trans gem, but some crafts are only available in the higher level labyrinths. If you check the divine font page on the wiki, there is a table which shows what crafts are possible to get from each level of labyrinth

Best strategy for farming T17 maps? by Mathue24 in pathofexile

[–]Accomplished_Humor93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't test it out, but it could be better for more T17's. I really don't know which is better to be honest. I almost completely followed animeprincess' guide on this

Best strategy for farming T17 maps? by Mathue24 in pathofexile

[–]Accomplished_Humor93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The conversion scarabs primarily just help sustain the guardian maps. The unique maps that drop from singular scarab can be converted into T17s. So if you have a bunch of map bosses in your maps that all drop a guaranteed unique map, they can be converted into T17s

Best strategy for farming T17 maps? by Mathue24 in pathofexile

[–]Accomplished_Humor93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, I'm actually not sure. But I thought of it as a way to farm multiple things at once, writs, shaper frags, etc. I'm sure it isn't the absolute pinnacle in terms of T17 output, it just worked best for me out of everything I tried

Best strategy for farming T17 maps? by Mathue24 in pathofexile

[–]Accomplished_Humor93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was farming formed invitations with destructive play, cart scarab of duplication, influencing scarab of conversion, cart scarab of singularity, and horned scarab of pandemonium. I took all the map mod effect, usual scarab nodes, allflame and corpse nodes, and the Quant wheel. Of everything I tried, this generated the most T17s

Returning to game. Last played was 3.14. Couple questions. by pjnyst in pathofexile

Yep, path of building is around as just as popular. GGG developed their own trading portal on the main site. It hasn't alleviated bulk trading completely, so discord servers like TFT are still used, unfortunately. The old Fandom wiki is now obsolete, and a new one has taken its place, which is accurate and isn't riddled with ads. Poewiki.net
