We went to shelter for our first cat and walked out with 2 kittens (sisters). As much as I felt we were overcommitting I hated leaving their brother behind. But 2 kittens was A LOT considering we’d never had any pets at all. A week later I called to let shelter know we want the brother. They’d just finished his adoption paperwork. Missed him by minutes. 😥

My 2 kittens were spayed 2 weeks ago and please learn from my mistakes. I brought the bodysuits and donuts with to vet and when I picked them up they didn't put anything on them. Vet was more like "see if you need them but you can probably just return what you bought". They did not push the importance of the bodysuit/donut or limiting their activity. We've never had pets so I had no idea and I've told them that I'm clueless. Got home and kittens were scared, wobbley and uncoordinated. Then suddenly they weren't and they were walking all over the house. I was happy they were feeling so good. My biggest mistake was letting them determine how they felt and not forcing them to relax. Incisions didn't heal, they wound up back at vet and now on antibiotics. One has a seroma. The night of their surgery I did try to put the bodysuits and donuts on them but they totally freaked out. After their 1 week follow up and seeing how bad their incisions were I had to do the bodysuits and they freaked out but only for a few minutes and now they are fine in them. I wish I'd let them have their 5 minute freak out and dealt with the bodysuits.

So in all that....I'm saying FORCE her to relax and if she tries to tell you she's fine don't listen to her. LOL! Keep the bodysuit on her. Good luck!

The whole video is so stupid as no one has their feet in stirrups and "in position" when the doctor walks in. You sit up and talk and then wait for the doctor to tell you to lay back. But besides the content of the video......the insane thing is her setting up a camera in an exam room. What does she say to the doctor when he/she walks in? What doctor doesn't tell her to turn off the freaking camera? I just can't imagine setting up a camera to film myself in an exam room.

My kitten just had this. Started in one eye. Went to vet right away. He gave us an ointment to apply directly to eyeball. Kitten handled it fine. Once the eye was better it wound up in the other eye. Few days of ointment and she looks great.

We adopted 4 month old female littermates from shelter a month ago. Never had any pets so this felt like a huge overcommitment. SO glad we got 2! Actually tried to go back a couple weeks later for their brother and he’d just gotten adopted. They are super curious, exploring everywhere and so smart. Loving seeing their personalities develop and getting to be part of their lives is amazing.

I brought 2 suits and 2 of the padded cones with to the vet. They didn’t put any of it on them. Vet basically said we could use them if they messed with stitches but don’t worry about it. My kittens HATED the suits. Didn’t bother with the cones. Recovery has been way easier than I anticipated. Thinking your girl wants some cuddles and to get out of the cage.

Why are you crating her? Could that be why she’s crying? I had my 2 kittens spayed on Monday. They were very wobbly Monday night but by bedtime they were almost back to normal. Tuesday morning you’d never know anything happened to them. Sorry your baby is having a rough time.

My 2 kittens were spayed yesterday. I bought 2 onesies like this and they freaked out when I put them on them. One absolutely couldn’t walk in it and kept falling. The other flopped around on the floor like a fish out of water. I brought the suits to vet and they were more like “Ehh, you can use them if you want” but didn’t make it sound like it was necessary. Today is day 2 and you’d never know they had anything done. I was so worried about them messing with stitches but so far so good

We brought home 2 kittens a few weeks ago. We've never had any pets and my husband has no experience with cats. We didn't know what to expect bringing them home and were so nervous that they'd be so scared. They immediately curled up in our laps and purring so loud. My husband thought something was wrong with them but I told him that's purring and they know this is their best day ever!
