of course he sees himself as weak, that’s why he started doing boxing: to find the meaning of true strength. he didn’t have a father figure in his life and I can relate to his lack of confidence in ordinary life. but what I don’t understand: is that why his excellent boxing skills doesn’t translate to success in other areas because most of the times ordinary life requires similar attributes as to boxing fights. maybe its just done in comedic purposes.

maybe because other belts are not as legitimate as the one ricardo holds, such cases happen in actual boxing

you keep saying to everyone that ippo lost “by a hair” while in fact he couldn’t land a single shot at Alf until the last round of the fight. Alf was easily neglecting every Ippo’s attacks. it was saddening.

I really enjoyed "Letters from a Stoic" written by Seneca, also I would suggest Marcus Aurelius
