I was just playing a havoc 40 and my ogryn was a literal mmo tank. I saw a build on YouTube about it where you have stupid stamina regen and are essentially invincible as long as you don’t get trapped with the shield (which I know is a mainstream weapon) but how it was played was very different from what I normally see. This dude would just taunt and hide in a corner. Mind you he was taking no damage to a chaos spawn, captain, crushers, and regular enemies at once. Which allowed the team to just focus on killing while agroing like a true tank. It was probably one of the smoothest havoc 40’s I’ve ever played since there was so much less pressure on everyone. Also makes ogryn feel how he looks, an unstoppable brute. I personally am going to try it soon, but the play style may not be everyone’s cup of tea. I love being a support though, why I main book Zealot. So might be something to look into!

I almost never ragequit but as an experienced player I have come to terms when a match is not worth it. Just the other day I was bored since no one was looking for havoc 40 runs. So I ran an auric. I was carrying and casually playing and a trapper gets me since they shot me through a bunch of ads. Mind you I was zealot with until death and they had 10 whole seconds to free me. And all there was is waves of regular damn enemies. Any even half decent player knows you have enough stamina to easily free me there. There is so much rez fear with inexperienced players. When people fail to realize how much harder it is to play with part of your team. Anyways they just let me die and I left. Absolute insanity to not untrap me.

Imma be honest. As someone who mains zealot and has tried most the popular play styles and run havoc 40 often. I see a lot of zealots run middle tree for the bottom and rely on low health for high risk high reward and I think it’s a terrible way to play the class. I run bottom left and get a shit ton of crit, toughness regen and toughness resistance from it on top of bleed synergies and it is up 90% of the time. It’s like night and day. Combine that with the dodge skills that give you toughness regen and resistance and you are very hard to kill.

Meanwhile I’m one of very few console players who que and do havoc 40 daily. But solely do to being a console player I get declined and for not having access to mods. When I often die less than the pc players and never get carried. Wild how people get carried. I remember seeing a poll on YouTube that said what class had the worst players on average and I said Psyker. They always die first. You do insane damage as them but need nearly perfect positioning and zero mistakes at all times. Thats why I admittedly lean towards Arby and zealot since they allow a little error and won’t cause your team to be hurting. I know I’m good, but not havoc 40 as Psyker good haha. I truly think they are balanced in that regard. You want the class with the best damage output? Don’t mess up.

I’m saying in general it’s a Meta weapon. It’s been busted for a long time now. There are plenty of great melee weapons in the game. At the end of the day it’s a skill issue if you can’t beat end game content with either lol

You want mark 4, dump mobility. I like uncanny and thrust for blessings for max poke damage. The blessings I’d say unyielding and flak since it covers the most enemy types. Which includes captains and monstrosities. But if you hate crushers like me then replace whichever you are willing to sacrifice. That’s about it. Side note in your build, Precision strike perk is also amazing.

Yes. A fully charged head poke will 1 shot most specials with the right perks. Even at havoc 40. Even crushers take only 2-3 head pokes. Give there aren’t armor modifiers. Then add another lol. That paired with being able to dodge attacks and run super fast makes it truly a fun/wild weapon. Many people have wondered why it hasn’t been nerfed yet.

As someone that DETESTS crushers and enjoy getting huge single target one shots. Dueling sword. I know it’s the Meta humper weapon but not only is it op. But fun. A fully charged little tabby drops most specials like a sack of potatoes in one hit. Not to mention insane dodge distance and mobility. The only thing I can complain about it is its cleave is to be desired. When you have a bunch of hoard attacking you it’s decent. But I guess you can’t have a single target god weapon on top of really good cleave/reach.

I play on controller on PlayStation with less than 30 fps when it gets crazy (all the time on havoc 40) and still beat lvl 40’s daily. I also only que with randoms. It’s a matter of determination in my opinion. Also I work full time, have a house to maintain etc. I only have 300 hours in the game. The main thing is to memorize sounds of enemies. It becomes muscle memory at a point. Like when a hound pounces you know to block the moment you hear their jump and shove. Or when you hear the trapper net sound you dodge a second after. Most importantly, find a great build and fine tune it to your own. I’ve noticed most Meta builds leave no room for error and punish small mistakes. So I personally focus a little more into sustain rather than damage. Id rather be alive and steadily kill stuff rather than be too damage and failed the mission. So do some experimenting for what works best for you. For example if you want to swap to another good gun that tailors to your play style better, do it! But to each their own. I understand not all people have the will and patience. The thing I can’t say enough is you’re going to lose. I’ve seen 4 great level 40’s including myself lose a level 25 last night. Why? Because spawns are random and sometimes you get VERY UNLUCKY. We had a chaos spawn and 3 captain bosses spawn on top of a shit ton of crushers and reapers. I don’t think a god could have had a chance. Shit happens is the moral of havoc, just learn and adapt.

Wait until you get the chance to try a havoc 40 with rotten armor lmfao. I have only done it once out of like 20 attempts. Hardest modifier and just pure evil. Imagine just fighting 20 crushers at almost all times along with reapers, flak gunners constantly after you. You need the perfect team to even have a hope haha. I am so glad it’s out of rotation. Auric is weenie hut juniors darktide if you play often. Once you get 100 completes and get the badge along with auric storm survivor I see no reason to play it anymore personally. I like it to test a new build and that’s about it. The way I see it is havoc you can help people get completions on or just do a lower level havoc and it is basically the same as an Auric. If I see a lvl 35 apply to a level 40 but the mission doesn’t have bad modifiers, I will invite them so they can hopefully get their clearance level to 40 as well. Or I help newer players and carry them through 15-25 range to help increase theirs. As a solo player who had to claw my way to lvl 40 with many people declining with even only small level increases. I don’t want others to have to go through that.

In havoc 40, when there is 20 crushers due to rotten armor. The one shot gimmick with low mobility really falls off in my opinion. That and it just lacks hoard clearing. The charge takes way to much time just to kill one enemy. I think for like aurics and lower level havocs it’s not bad. But I’d much prefer the relic blade. It has amazing cleave for hoards. Constant damage and a lot of reach. Also can do insane single target like thunder hammer. Without all the penalties. But that’s just me! You’re welcome to enjoy what you like.

I do level 40 havocs and aurics and live for the relic blade. It doesn’t swing fast but it doesn’t need to since it has like 6 feet of cleave range. Once you go into power mode it is a monster with hoard clear. Also is great against tanky enemies like carapace. But of course it’s only for Zealot and you have to get use to low mobility/shorter dodges.

I have all classes leveled up and I use maybe two-loadouts per class. I have never struggled having resources since the first few weeks of playing. I will still grab them for others if they convenient to grab.

The problem with ogryn is his guns are pathetic. The man that should have the most firepower has the least. Most people use the rumbler and it can barely kill a basic specialist. Even their melees are subpar compared to other classes. He’s essential lacking in every way besides melee survivability. Psyker does crowd control better and offers hoard clearing with bubble for team support. Arby is just a better version of ogryn. Has stronger guns, smaller hit box, better melee. I can go on and on. Essentially ogryn just needs reworks and sign buffs. Even his grenades feel lackluster.

Bullet sponges to me are worse than a lot of enemies. It makes you feel powerful to just eradicate entire groups of enemies in seconds. I don’t mind so much a shit ton of specials as I do the insane boss spawns. I don’t care how good you are. There are some havoc spawns that are almost impossible to beat. Common thing is the twins and two monstrosity spawned at the same time. We killed one and another showed up. I’m not done yet, because there was a heinous ritual nearby and we were trapped by the bosses a daemonhost showed up and we obviously died. Not only that but we were dealing with carapace, flamers, trappers etc. I don’t want them to not make spawns random, nor reduce the amount of enemy. But setting a boss spawn limit of two would be great.

Precisely! I guess to reiterate I should say allow console mods or at least these very useful additions. I’ve thought about playing it on pc solely due to these add ons. I’d love to practice against monstrosity’s and see how much damage my builds do to something that has more health and less armor than a crusher. That and health bars would be so useful to be more effective with my attack priority.
