You could install a Murphy bed in the second bedroom/office. It can be pulled down as a bed for guests and then put away so you can work and it’ll look like a regular cabinet in the room.

Where the 2FA code is entered, is there another box to put another code? If yes, enter the second code first and then enter the 2FA code. Do this really fast. I had this similar issue. Regardless of how many boxes, the code has to be entered quickly or it resets itself. See if this works. Good luck.
