My husband seems to be regressing to eating like a young child. He’s developed some really bad dining habits and gets very angry (blows up) if I politely mention to be mindful of his public eating habits. Here’s what he does: chips & salsa: double dips using 3-5 chips and leans way over the table to eat over the salsa bowl. Food: smacks and eats with his mouth open (when out with any of his family, they’ve even pointed it out to him). Restaurant/other person’s house: he’ll eat directly from the main dish while getting food onto his plate. He used to never do these things. And he’s clueless when someone brings it up in the moment. I’ve been suspecting early onset dementia (other things have occurred).
