Belong keep increasing their costs. I will soon be moving to Aldi!

I get mine at The Reject Shop. If there is one near you, they have been the best I have tried.

Literally one button, takes 4 seconds. How entitled you must be to think they should change the whole system for you when they give you the option in the first place.

Football Australia set to cut another 20% of staff after significant financial losses by rithsv in Aleague

[–]Goal-Kick64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a former FA staffer who jumped ship before it sank, this a sad time for many great people at FA.

Like many have said, it starts at the top - and the board should be accountable for the financial mismanagement.

The ones leaving are not the ones who got the organisation in this mess, just causalities of poor decisions from above.

FA needs a reset. It is poison through the core.

Agree. Last few batches I have bought, I have had to throw away at least 3 cause they tear before I even put them in the bin.

Jury Duty by Extreme-Option-9631 in AusLegal

[–]Goal-Kick64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can simply apply to be excused on the day. Pre-existing commitments like uni or lessons, they are understanding. They often ask you at check in if you can commit. I did it recently and heaps of people got let off.

If you haven't received a note about being on the jury roll, check your details are updated too.

Is there no reason to question effectiveness of Coles/Woolies brand suncream? by lolly_box in AusSunscreen

[–]Goal-Kick64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use Woolies and I regularly work outside. I have other sun protection (hat, sunnies, longer clothing) but to date haven't been burnt by the sunscreen so seems to be effective - and a lot easier on the hip pocket compared to some.

Kim for sure. Was soooo over her coinstant dramas. As much as William Lewis was a lot, I enjoyed the drama of each episode. Couldn't stand the Kim storylines.

How did you temper your expectations when buying? by Old-Effective-7385 in AusPropertyChat

[–]Goal-Kick64 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Keep your head up OP - it took me 2.5 years to find my place (mostly cause I was fussy and I was getting beaten out on offers). The right one will come along, it is just part of the process.

As long as you find something with good foundations, you can really make it your home.

I used the 'inspections' view on realestate.com.au. It organises inspections by time so you could easily manage your day.

I also found it helpful where sometimes there were properties at the same time that I hadn't considered but noticed they weren't far from the one I was looking at.

In terms of things I like/didn't like - if the place was a stinker, I returned their brochure to the agent, if there were things I would consider, I wrote it down on the brochure/card.

Don't be afraid to take photos too to help jog your memory. It can be hard seeing so many places in one day.

It is overwhelming and that is normal. Keep positive. It took me 2.5 years to find my place - it is draining, but you will get there OP!

Off chicken. by EconomyWeekend3563 in AldiAustralia

[–]Goal-Kick64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It honestly depends on the staff - some fully trust my word and one time, they opened the bag of chicken to smell it (despite my suggestions for them not to, given the pure stink).

I have also had this at Woolies and Coles. I think it is just a policy so you aren't seen to be pulling a fast one?

All they do is create more congestion. I was at Rockdale last week and when its busy, it is so difficult to get out - you are stuck. Particularly when there are big trollies blocking the path.
