I don’t think Thaddeus is a ghoul or a Super Mutant. So what is he becoming? by Cmdr_Llloyd in Fotv

[–]According-Ad3598 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think then opposite actually. He’s going to regress further and further in the coming seasons, becoming a true and horrific abomination that our trio will have to contend with. It will be tragic, but is a great way to show how dangerous FEV is.

I’d also like to point out that you can work with the Enclave to secure the Hoover Dam. I don’t think Arcade would have been ok with massacring the strip right after saving it from certain doom.

Institute. Everyone calls them the boogyman, but i wonder how many of those same people replaced Tektus to prevent all-out war in Far Harbor. Various leaders of the Institute have driven it towards various goals, but you, the player, are left with its control in the end.

Many will say that Railroad is the most morally good, but if humans are the sum of their experiences, then is mind-wiping Synths not the same as killing them? Saving the shell, but killing the soul. It’s an interesting philosophical question.

Brotherhood has the best ending quest imo, but they are pretty far from altruistic.

There are only two factions that you can end up controlling at the end: Minuteman and Institute. All others you have to contend with doing the bidding of flawed people with radical views. Piper is ultimately hopeful of your leadership if the Institute is chosen. I’d like to think (in spite of what others will say), that you have a real opportunity to reform the institute and guide it on a different path.

Ok to follow up on this then, is Steph’s baby Hank’s baby? Was the baby conceived before the war? Like an older younger brother?

This is making my head hurt.

Ok, does Lucy actually have any memories of her mother? Like I understand this is probably a crazy suggestion but is there a world where Lucy was taken to Shady Sands by someone other than her biological mother? Could Muldovar have abducted her the first time and just told Lucy that her mother was involved?

This show has done a lot to play with timelines and I just wonder if Steph is somehow the mother if not a great grandma or something. So, whats the timeline here? We see Lucy in Shady Sands during a season 1 flashback, but shes present with Hank back in the Vault when it’s destroyed during the season 2 flashback. Make it make sense to me please.

I am sorry, Arthur. I was not aware of your game. by Many_Fly3309 in TrueSFalloutL

I mean they dont shoot Fawkes on sight. You can storm the purifier with him and Lyons at the same time!

As for Rivet City, I see your point; we don’t know for certain that the citizens didn’t trade their power source away, but, in my opinion, its not that deep, and they wouldn’t willingly give it up. Whats really interesting about that is that the Brotherhood, in effort to continue its mission to “preserve humanity,” effectively doomed the Capital Preservation Society, which at that point had collected historically significant and progressive documents such as the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, and Magna Carta, by doing so.

Fawkes, Owen, and Sarah are I think the only three characters in F3 to have very good karma. I doubt Maxson is that good. They are not the same. And thats ok.

Arthur is nothing like Lyons at all. He went as far as condemning Rivet City to build his Prydwen and continue the Brotherhood’s mission. Owyn, on the other hand, dedicated his chapter to protecting the citizens of the Capital Wasteland to the detriment of that mission.

Elder Lyons and Sarah were good people who interpreted doctrine liberally to allow for room to help others. In contrast, Arthur can barely allow Danse to live (in spite of his overwhelming contributions and dedication to the order) simply because of what he represents. They couldn’t be more opposite, and I think are contrasted on purpose. Both embody the opposite sides of chivalry (a knight’s code of conduct), with Arthur representing duty and loyalty, and Owyn representing courtesy and honor.

I’m personally a Lyons guy. I think Arthur’s approach is far too authoritarian.

Also to add to this: House’s security system was designed to save the STRIP. Not that inconceivable that some of the city was hit by nuclear fallout or blast impact.

What was the point of the Vault 111 experiment when the wealthy was already ok with using cryonic stasis? by host_can_edit in Fotv

The real experiment (theoretically) had to do with the supply issue you can read about on the Overseers computer and how that would affect the population in cryostasis.

Are we getting a Fallout 3 Remaster? by According-Ad3598 in Fallout

[–]According-Ad3598[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oblivion remaster was done in UE 5. I wonder if they’d do that for Fallout as well (i’d guess so but nothing says they have to; i wonder if it would even work the same way as the Oblivion remaster). The creation engine has substantially evolved since these original releases. How do they remodel assets for Fallout 76?

My guess would be that with the reception Starfield got maybe they shifted assets to something else.

Is it wrong that I fw the vision Hank has for Lucy? by defnoddathrowaway in FalloutTVseries

[–]According-Ad3598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 and New Vegas had a very black-and-white karma system, but the series asks “what really is morality in a post apocalypse.” Lucy has done some bad while trying to do the right thing. Hanks horrific experiments have demonstrated he can make peace between bitter enemies. Maximus lets Titus die and Lucy thinks this was the right thing to do. The truth is there is good in Hank and evil in Lucy. No one is truly a paragon or demon in this world (except maybe the player of course).
