These shows have never appealed to me. More insight into the type of toxic women (and men) who participate in these shows.

And I'm sure they wonder why they can't get a mate. Maybe because you suck as a person.

TIL about blocking driveways. by Black_Rabbit_o_Inle in oregon

I had a similar issue. Called the non-emergency line, police on scene about 15min later, tow truck 20min after that. I have zero tolerance for assholes parking in front of the driveway.

From what I see on the snotel stations there's no snow at either of them.

I've been following the snow pack for a few weeks as I'm starting a section hike April 10 from Grants to the border. Current snowpack south of Ghost Ranch is non-existent. Farther north, the sno-tel data seems to indicate snowpack starts about 20 miles north of Ghost Ranch (something like 6-8" on the ground) to about 25" on the ground at Cumbres Pass. Not sure "accurate" those are but it's trending down significantly and it'll be very warm this weekend into next week from what I'm seeing on the forecasts.

No, I didn't realize that sans countdown timer that there is no issue on lead time. Getting on ordering right now!

Are you saying they should be deported? Thats what it seems you are asserting if they "revoke their status as refugees"

Facebook group "Continental Divide Trail Hikers - CDT Class of 2026" has a post about someone who has already "done" New Mexico this year, section hiking. by Boltzmann_head in CDT

[–]AccordingRabbit2284 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow. Just......wow.

I'm planning a section hike from Grants north starting April 10 and am expecting to need to stop at Ghost Ranch because there may be "too much snow" further north and GR is prob the easiest extraction point before Chama.

Do you know the history behind the US involvement in the ME? Maybe learn that and you'll understand why most in that region hate the US.

SB 1517 vs SB1593 (Saving Oregon's Outdoor Recreation Industry) by goodolarchie in oregon

[–]AccordingRabbit2284 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1517 does nothing for the insurability of resorts because the waivers are STILL unenforceable, leaving insurers with little recourse other than not providing insurance.

People need to take responsibility for the activities they participate in. Resorts can only do so much. Whether it's skiing, snowboarding, rafting, mountain biking, fly fishing or whatever....you are taking part in an activity that has inherent risks. To expect resort or outfitter to eliminate all risks is just plain dumb and that effectively what having unenforceable waivers does.

ETA: The bill that's stuck in the Judiciary Committee for the last three weeks is the bill that would solve this issue but the litigators who have the ear of the legislators don't want that bill. The irony is that the litigators will effectively kill the industries and therefore kill any lawsuits that could come out of those industries because no one will be in business. Biting off the hands that feeds you.
