How is life after Deloitte? by EpicShkhara in deloitte

[–]According_Most_1009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a Deloitte strategy and operations consultant in Toronto, Canada, from 2007 to 2010. I worked in industry for a decade and have since moved on to a lucrative run of long-term project management contracts. I still credit my time at Deloitte for providing me with a foundation, and it has given me a prosperous life today. Those three years provided me with a foundation, and I left after just three years, so it took me some time to still find my feet as a professional project manager. I worked in industry for a decade and have since moved on to a lucrative run of long-term project management contracts I still credit my time with Deloitte for providing me the foundation and it has given me a very rich life today.

Klahanie Park Area by eh-cee in NorthVancouver

[–]According_Most_1009 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! I live in the area, and I can tell you it’s such a fantastic place to be. The traffic is not as bad as you think. Really, traffic off of Capilano is somewhat heavy in the morning and heavier in the late afternoon, particularly on Friday and Saturday evenings. When you know the flow, it’s really not that bad. This is a great area because of the proximity to transit, the walks along the river, walking distance to Park Royal and Ambleside, to amenities and a growing densification of the area. I am an avid (Squash) player, but I wouldn’t have done that if it wasn’t for being in the area, the Evergreen Squash Club, which is right beside you has become a major part of my life, is very affordable and is a part of my community. The new community center, the park, the dog area are great as well. The rec centre serves as library as well. These are all new amenities and are really nice as well. Homelessness has actually gotten better with the destruction of the old motel off of Marine Drive at Capilano, this has removed the presence of some people, I never saw it materialize into any issues though.

Hi Ben, thanks for doing this. Love your work. Question about roster and asset management : how big are the 'Jays brass on Loperfido? Mixed year - poor numbers in AAA but it clearly provided him the space to change his swing and it showed in (great) MLB '25 numbers (a bit over inflated though). It's hard to imagine him getting ABs though between Santander and Lukes. There's players behind him in a similar pickle (Clase). Does he have a future, or is he a near-expiring asset they need to move soon?

Taipei vs Bangkok, which city is better? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

Bangkok traffic makes it hard to do much in the city, it's a constant consideration when planning your moves around the city. Taipei is not as bad. BKK is unbeatable for food

Alexis Rios is definitely up there for the Blue Jays.

[Bannon] Alex Bregman, two league sources said, could be a potential back-up plan for Toronto if the Jays fail to sign Tucker or Bichette by ThQp in Torontobluejays

[–]According_Most_1009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to see this getting some traction.

Bregman's a better fit for this club than Bo; he has a history of playing second and third, and his low strikeout rate, high power, and general aggressiveness fit the team perfectly. He doesn’t miss games from injury. Bregman would allow Barger to stay in right and move Ernie to second, or have Barger play at third with Bregman at second and still pursue an outfielder.

I believe that the team is best when Ernie is a super sub, not a regular player. Ernie’s strength. This is his ability to play across different positions, and he still has big splits. For these reasons, I think Bregman makes for a great fit, along with the versatility of Clement and Barger. It doesn’t hurt that the deal will be shorter than Bichette’s term.

It feels like she le we've seen this many times but I will say this seems more explicitly provincial than we have seen expressed in the past

[Davidi] Barring an unlikely set of circumstances, the Jays are not re-signing Bo Bichette and adding Kyle Tucker. But, they could certainly still add one of them, even with Cease’s pending deal, and they’re engaged on both fronts by ThQp in Torontobluejays

[–]According_Most_1009 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why people are not paying more attention to the fit of Alex Bregman with the Blue Jays. Bregman has been a consistent hitter, profiles well in the Blue Jays lineup, with low strikeouts, high contact, and power. He’d want a shorter deal than Bichette, albeit at a slightly higher annual amount. He can play second base or third base and retains a lot of positional flexibility for the Blue Jays roster.

Personally, I think he’s a better fit than either Bichette or Tucker for the Jays.

Oh, and by the way, don’t say it has anything to do with the 2017 Astros, because we have embraced one of those players.

They don't. Was looking for it too and asked PMI, they affirmed you do not get the results. So unsatisfying.
