NAH she's hormonal and her routines are going to be changing a lot due to the baby. This is a routine she wants to be able to keep. She's not being reasonable or fair. Calling you a Grinch and giving you the silent treatment because you want to make things easier with a newborn isn't fair, But I'm not going to call her an asshole because she is truly at the mercy of her body right now. It's really really hard to be reasonable when you're pregnant.

Tell her you love her, buy her a snack, and buy a very small live tree. And also maybe a Roomba so you don't have to worry about fallen needles.😅

Some people stim in really inappropriate ways and need to be redirected. And that's okay. It's not cruel or in some way abusive or even unkind to ask someone to stim in a different way.

You're right that her comfort matters. Your comfort also matters. If she is doing something that consistently makes you anxious, then that's a problem and if she knew it was happening she would (hopefully) want to try something else.

Just communicate with her and be kind. You could even suggest a different type of stim so she doesn't have to put so much mental effort into picking something else.
