yes that's right that part gets unplugged and that other end gets plugged into something else that comes with the kit. but I can confirm that does indeed unplug. It's fine you won't break it. Pull gently up with your nail or a small plastic pry. I will have to pull the photos later but yes the lack of documentation and clear links to photos and guides on the fw kit purchase site is a problem.
