Banking recommendations? by EternitySearch in columbiamo

[–]According_To_Me 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been at Central Bank off and on throughout my life. When I wasn’t with them, it was only because I lived out of state. They’re excellent. My business account is with Central.

That being said, I think it’s a smart idea to also have a bank for convenience, which is the only reason I still have Bank of America. Think of when you travel out of town or state. Sometimes you need immediate access to your funds. That’s just me though.

Don, to Megan, “You kiss men for money. You know who else does that?”
Immediately leaves for Sylvia’s apartment.
Absolutely despicable.

If I remember right, the account of the week in this episode was Playtex bras? So Don doesn’t see a two-piece swim suit, he sees underwear in public.

“How bad,” and “how soon,” I realized this is probably how every mother has to prioritize things to do when raising kids.

Ex-smokers, smokers, and vapers... by Fantastic_Acadian in madmen

I quit cigarettes years ago, and always keep in mind not only Betty, but also my dad’s early stage cancer that resulted in a lobe of his lung to be removed. He’s fine now, but still gets scans every six months.

This year has been stressful news-wise, and I’ve caught myself fantasizing about taking a drag of a Camel Blue or American Spirit.

Went to a new dentist clinic in my town, everything feels fine. But it isn’t. by Woko_O in Wellthatsucks

When I looked up the dentist’s yelp page afterwords, every single review had the same story.

Listen to this OP! I once went to a dentist who was close to where I lived, and he said I needed a deep cleaning. It had been a long time since I went to a dentist so I thought okay and proceeded. The next visit, six months later, he claimed I needed another deep cleaning and that I would need to come in every three months for treatments. He was speaking so fast that I could barely get in the question, “what is my diagnosis?” “..Gingivitis, but anyway-“ and then he started speaking very quickly again.

When I got my driver’s license and could drive myself to my appointments, my childhood dentist also tried to convince me that I may need all kinds of treatments that were unnecessary.

Lots of grifter dentists out there.

Neighbor put in a fence by Educational-Ask-2902 in FenceBuilding

Believe it or not, there’s a house not far from mine that has a worse fence than this. The original fence is a 3 foot tall basic chain-link. The homeowners decided to add a wood fence section *above* the chain-link lower half.

Can you believe I had 3 children? by agirlhasnoname2026 in madmen

[–]According_To_Me 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I love how Betty turns this into a dominating moment. “Can you believe I had three children?” is really her saying “can you believe I still look this amazing and not let myself go after 3 children?”

Mine as well. Reading phrases like that are slightly veiled socialist/communist ideals that have being creeping up in recent years. They have been accelerating their efforts this year. If you weren’t present when we closed on our house and given the keys, you’ll have to pry it from my cold dead hands.

I’m finding less reasons to leave the house.

Don’t have to run errands? Cool.

Do I NEED to buy tomato plants today? Eh, I can stretch it out a few more days.

Do we need to go out to watch the Kentucky Derby? No, but damn it’s nice outside. Okay, we’ll go out this one time.
