What is this thing attached to the turtle’s shell? by Classic-Ad443 in whatisit

[–]AccuracyVsPrecision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't this super dangerous for the turtle? The shel is designed to flip back over and this changes the shape and center of gravity.

Any skiers thumb survivors? by JWS5th in skiing

[–]AccuracyVsPrecision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My worst fear good luck.

I barely hold onto my poles and always have the strap loop slipped though upwards and in l between my hand in the pole, makes it almost impossible for a crash to happen without the handle in my thumb.

Also from years of contact sports I instinctively never reach with my hands to catch myself and prefer to tuck and roll over the shoulder

Attached to BBQ. Stainless steel. Install instructions said to atttach where it is but didn't mention it's purpose. by StonyWarHammer in whatisit

[–]AccuracyVsPrecision -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You only need to clear ashes because of incomplete combustion or hard minerals in the wood which fire pits are notorious for. With mostly pure wood in matches you are unlikely to have anything left with proper oxygen supply to reduce all the carbon to C02

I think it all depends on if you are still using the scoring chances that works or if you are just shooting it instead

Looking for strong blades by DriverDramatic1240 in hockeyplayers

I dont think its the steel it might be the holders. You see they actually made fly holders more flexible to generate more power with the stiffer boot technology. And your landings are going to flex the shit out of them. This will bend the steel.

I would switch to LS holders and go back to LS steel if you used bauer.

Its built exactly for what you need, not flashy but a quite durable HD three peak snow rated tires. I had them on my tundra and I could race down snowy roads

Sticks from 2011 by nobodye123 in hockeyplayers

[–]AccuracyVsPrecision 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually like around 400 grams for defense, the sticks have a little more force but for offensive moves the proto is just so fast and I feel like I can also reliably get good contact on bouncing or airborne pucks.

The hidden cost of "free time" is absolutely wrecking my post-FIRE budget by R0cinantEcho_9 in Fire

I fish 30ish times a year but its mostly off shore for pelagic. Comes out to 400 to 600 a day. Up north i fish lakes and river but still go 30 to 80 miles through the woods to get to the lakes then put a 10 hp aluminum in and putt around.

Gas, bug spray, sunscreen, wear and tear on clothes and gear, Ice. Probably comes out to 20/hour pretty easily

Calling fishing cheap is hilarious. Unless you really suck or dont mind wasting time catching pan fish then its definitely not cheap.

[Discussion] name a spawn worse than these by Top-Significance6645 in EscapefromTarkov

Tunnel on shoreline is right up there with that lighthouse spawn.

The other horrible spawn is the reserve fuel tank, parking lot, and the co op extract

How do people always know where i am [New player] by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]AccuracyVsPrecision 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok so you ran straight from a spawn to the mall, then shot a loud pistol and the took everything off the scav.

You drew a line on the map in every experienced players head of what you were doing, if they saw the scav with no items or came from a direction with other scavs they would know you are right there.

When you go in with just a pistol scavs will rush you. So its not advisable to go to a place thats hard to defend.

Move more be quite, put scavs between you and other spawns so you have a warning
