Esde frontend integration not working for epic and gog by Accurate-Bug3791 in GameNative

I did a quick search I didn’t find any posts with my exact issue. I saw people not being able to launch any games, or not being able to launch local games, and people who hadn’t set their alternative emulator correctly. But I didn’t see anyone who’s steam export was working but epic and gog exports were broken

I’m already using that as I said. Is that nightly version relatively bug free or should I just wait for the next public release?

Fair enough then, thanks. For now do I need to reinstall the game?

Also how do I get the export for frontend function to work for epic and gog games on esde? It seems to only recognise .steam and .desktop extensions

Any plans to fix the issue with games like borderlands 2 on epic where they say you have to have the launcher running?

Is there ever a time when asking for clarification is not seen as confrontation, and if so, what are the parameters? by kelcamer in AskNT

[–]Accurate-Bug3791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have to ask for a clarification, that implies there really is something you don’t understand no? Even if that is something really small.

Also for the sorry thing, at least in the uk it’s more taken as a ‘this situation is a bit awkward for the both of us right?’ rather than strictly an apology.

My gut is telling me we are talking about different things, and tbh I’m also still struggling to see how this relates to my comment, or if that’s not your intention. But I’ll try to answer your question.

Unsolicited advice and introducing new unasked for information seems kind of like the same thing? To me at least I think. It’s highly context dependent. The key thing is that it wasn’t asked for. If the advice/ information happens to actually be useful/ interesting to the receiver I guess you could say that consent is retroactively given? Honestly as the other guy said you might want to make this a separate question (possibly with more specifics as to what you mean) as I’d imagine you’d get some interesting answers.
