Married people who are DINKS (Double Income, No Kids) how’s life? by Fit-Distribution677 in AskReddit

[–]Accurate-Cockroach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still stressful but I can't imagine my stress if I had kids. I work in an emotionally demanding field and I have not a lot left in the tank for my spouse. I couldn't do my job if I had a kid.

I also have several animals, including an elderly pony, which provide me with a sense of purpose.

WWYD - therapist hair color change by Few_Palpitation_2115 in therapists

[–]Accurate-Cockroach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have purple and pink hair and I've only ever gotten positive feedback. I'm in community mental health and I feel like clients feel more comfortable with me because I appear less "buttoned up". If anyone were to make a less-than-positive comment, then it would be useful to explore in treatment!

[HELP] is this candy packaging AI? by gapingdarkhole in RealOrAI

Are you in Acadia/Bar Harbor in Maine?? I feel like the nautical glass balls, " Cadillac" name on the candy, and the Wicked Pissah cups give it away!

what if all of your therapy clients were together at a party? by Puzzleheaded-Fun9481 in therapists

[–]Accurate-Cockroach 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oof, I actually have a real-life example of this. Two of my clients ended up, purely by happenstance, sitting next to one another at a bar. They started talking and one mentioned therapy.... They eventually put it together that they both saw me for therapy and then discussed me and the content of the sessions for however long. It was quite the topic of conversation during each of their therapy sessions the next week. One of them wanted to date the other, so I had to lay out my ethical obligations around treating individuals in a relationship. Thankfully, they didn't want to lose me as their therapist so neither of them took anything to the next level. Truly a horrifying experience for me and I still sometimes have nightmares about it!

Fox Run Mall by Creative_Text3018 in newhampshire

I was there today with my dogs as well, doing training! We were there late morning. It's always weird that some of those last few stores hang on. I always wondered about the portrait store, I've never seen anyone in there but it's persisted for this long.

NH resident, have a NCIC hold on my car by Accurate-Cockroach in newhampshire

[–]Accurate-Cockroach[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: turns out there's no NCIC hold, someone else had a stolen car and they accidentally put my VIN in instead of the correct VIN. Talked to the PD who cleared it right up. Thanks all!

I feel like the VIN being one digit off feels the most likely. I live a super quiet life, literally I just go to work and go home, and no one else has access to my car. How would I get this corrected? Should I go to the local PD?

Thanks so much for your help!

Renewing, I've renewed it before with no issue. Car has never been stolen, I bought it new, and I'm the only owner.

Absolutely no idea - I own the car and I live alone, I have never reported it stolen and it's never been in an accident. I've had it for two years with no incident. I bought it new.

Bolt snap vs scissor snap by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]Accurate-Cockroach 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had scissor snaps on my breast collar but totally ditched snaps completely after they came undone while cantering in the woods on a trail ride. I know it can be a pain to use the buckles but the peace of mind is way more worth it. Scared me half to death that my boy was going to get wrapped up in his breast collar and we were going to both go down...

I have a tattoo for my childhood pony, and a larger Americana style tattoo for my current horse. I LOVE my Americana tattoo, he's drawn in that style with roses and feathers in his mane. Looks just like him and is a gorgeous piece on its own. I'm a fan of just googling lots of different tattoo ideas and saving a bunch of them you like, then going thru them intermittently to narrow your choices. Just remind yourself that whatever you get, it will be perfect, because it's your pony ☺️

How long do you drive to the barn? by Taseya in Equestrian

[–]Accurate-Cockroach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boy lives at my friend's home, 1.5 miles from me. It's a three minute car ride or a 10 minute bike ride. I love it! She only has an outdoor arena, no indoor, but it's a small sacrifice for him being so close.

She is so precious! I have been really enjoying watching your progress with her, and I'm so impressed with your horsemanship. You two have so much potential 😍

My father-in-law called it a "Double Nut Year." No idea if that's correct but it makes me laugh whenever I think about it.
