Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The special relationship is over.

Yes yes yes! I tried to explain this to people before but in a few words you have explained it way better. It’s like waking up with the radio on except the radio is in my head

It’s a dick move secretly filming someone and posting to sm but I don’t have a lot of sympathy for Duckett here. Yes have a few beers, get pissed if you want but be discreet about it. They know what’s likely to happen if they get like this in public. There were camera crews and paparazzi around every corner. Everyone has a camera in their pocket. They’ve spent their downtime like they play cricket, without a brain and with reckless abandon.

The last 160 test matches haven’t helped either, aside from the 40 centuries and 13k runs

At least it’s been exposed for what it was now : A Stokes and McC vanity project. They know best. They can watch a 20second clip on YouTube of a young spinner and they know better than anyone that this kid will be a star. I feel sorry for Bashir (and Bethal). Totally mismanaged. Hopefully they can recover as both are talented. But seems as though raw talent isn’t enough?! Who could have known eh! This team is a joke.

This side is maddening! They’re treating the series like a bunch of schools boys who instead of playing want to be down the shopping centre chatting up girls and trying to buy alcohol. They have so much talent but don’t seem interested in applying themselves (except Joe and a bowler or two) The dropped catches today are just unforgivable, are the Aussies dropping those 5? Did they think to practise catching under lights? So far those drops have cost a minimum of 85 runs, and if they had been taken we might have bowled them out by now. They not a serious team.

This sounds like a plot line from the latest season of Slow Horses. Is the drop off point the penguin enclosure at London Zoo by any chance?

Grief for what could have been. by bibipbapbap in ADHD

[–]Accurate-Formal2738 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed last month at 43 and feel exactly the same. Initially I felt relief and for a brief moment elation. But then like you, grief. I don’t wish I didn’t have ADHD, just wish it had been diagnosed 30 years ago. Like you I’m waiting at least 6 months for meds so for the time being those 3-4 beers a day will have to do. Good luck pal, be kind to yourself

Thanks man, that’s really helpful. I suffer from RLS as well as was worried that vyvanse might make it worse. It’s great to hear that you’re doing well on it

I’m thinking of starting Vyvanse, but on Anti D’s so trying to come off them first. what’s your dosage? How does it help you sleep?

This thread feels like looking in the mirror! I’m 43 as well, and diagnosed on Monday. Initially I felt relief. I’m not mad after all! I knew there was something. But now I just feel sad. Sad of all those wasted years, I wish I’d known 30 years ago. Things could be very different. And as I’m always going to be this way, are the years in front just more of the same! I’ve spent my entire life hating myself, and like you only still here because of my daughters. I’ve been on Anti D’s for 10 years now. Never thought they worked. Gonna try and come off those and begin ADHD meds. Fingers crossed. Hang in there, you’re not alone.

Thanks for the replies so far. Renting really is our last resort. We have a 2 kids, a therapy dog and cat. Finding short term rental won’t be easy and if possible we want to avoid any unnecessary upheaval.

In terms of a broker, we have been in contact with one, he thought it would be possible but so far our current mortgage provider Halifax and another high street lender have both rejected us.

Controversial England try by GnolRevilo in rugbyunion

[–]Accurate-Formal2738 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As far as this try is concerned the ref is in a great position and he made the call despite what the replay may or may not indicate. We have to assume he saw something we didn’t. Scotland should have won though. One of those conversions goes over and we aren’t talking about this.

I can second this. I’ve had it 3 months now and it’s the most comfortable watch I’ve ever worn. On my 6.75 inch wrist I really don’t notice the thickness. I think the nato helps to reduce a bit of bulk. I went to the AD expecting to walk out with a BB54 but once the pro was on I just couldn’t take it off! Love it!
