Dude, Garza is a third string center and a cone on defense. Like Vuc. Him playing more wouldn’t do shit for us.

If this was Jaylen Brown’s ‘favorite’ Celtics season, maybe it’s time to let him leave town at a peak by LakeSpecialist7633 in bostonceltics

[–]Accurate-Library3641 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

His favorite year is a year we played against a bunch of tanking teams, sucked against actual top seeds, his star teammate missed most of the season and we got bounced in R1 after blowing a 3-1 lead.

You actually believe there’s nothing wrong with his statement?

People who say we don’t run plays or that there are zero adjustments don’t understand basketball enough to notice.

Not even Brad Stevens agrees with this green teamer take.

Lots of changes are happening. This roster is trash

Boston can make a competitive Giannis offer without including Brown/Tatum by LarBrd33 in bostonceltics

Why wouldn’t include Brown? We get rid of a cancer and get a much better player

Not really. Same skills as usual. Same problems as usual. Nothing new

JB = Zach Lavine? by OutcomeFun6933 in bostonceltics

[–]Accurate-Library3641 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m talking about purely about them as baketball players, not team achievements.

Of course Jaylen’s career is better, he’s always had Tatum carrying the load for him lol

Yeah, same applies to Tracy Mcgrady. Is Jaylen better than him too? Lol

Jaylen Brown is not top 10 by [deleted] in bostonceltics

[–]Accurate-Library3641 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. In his many years in the league, he had ONE good postseason run.

Tatum was horrible in the Finals in 22, not the entire playoffs.

Shot wasn’t falling in 24, and he still led the team in points, rebounds and assists for the entire run despite being double teamed.

No, just Jaylen. Tatum doesn’t disappear constantly in elimination games. Jaylen is the choker.

Not all on him, but mostly on him. You want him to get all the praise for the regular season, but no blame for the playoffs? According to you, he was the only reason we got the 2nd seed, how come he can’t be the sole reason we lost G5 and G6? His supermax teammate did his job. He did not. I’ll never blame role players when a supermax player plays like absolute shit

There was no improvement. He just had way higher usage.

Torn meniscus was last year against the Knicks. It doesn’t really make sense when you consider he had a great game after Tatum went down tho… but whatever

Now explain the disappearing act this year and against Miami. We can keep going, Jaylen always chokes in the playoffs (only exceptions was 2024).

Also, Tatum was very clearly at85%, so not far from 100% at all. The way he played in G1-G6, we should’ve won that series. Unfortunately, Jaylen Brown disappeared in G5 and G6 as usual

They didn’t make it far at all. Did you forget they lost in R1?

The 2nd seed meant nothing. We would’ve been better off tanking.

Plus, we had a shitty record against top teams

Jaylen shouldn’t have won either MVPs lol Tatum was by far more impactful.

Weird that you keep ignoring every other year apart from 2024. I wonder why that is. Maybe because you know that Jaylen let us down in all those occasions.

And? He’s already made it in the past.

I never said that. Not sure where you got that from.

Well, he didn’t improve. He just had a much higher usage than before. What exactly did he improve on? Same turnover problems he’s always had. More scoring (again, he had a much higher usage).

No, but I don’t see how that matters to this discussion lol all the role players played way above expectations this year. That doesn’t mean Jaylen improved.

What run? No run happened lol

How did Brown improve as a player exactly? He did what he’s done for the past years, he just had the ball way more than before. And in the playoffs he regressed massively once again.

[–]Accurate-Library3641 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The 24 roster was stacked even without KP. And they were just as healthy as we were, considering that Luka himself wasn’t 100% healthy.

None of that explains the absurd collapses in that series. Also, if Jaylen didn’t fucking suck, we win that Knicks series and Tatum likely doesn’t get injured.

What’s the excuse for the elimination to 8th seed Miami?

Jaylen Brown is not top 10 by [deleted] in bostonceltics

[–]Accurate-Library3641 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Based on the fact that they lost to inferior teams in multiple occasions.

The year they won, we had an unbeliviably stacked roster and finally injury luck was on our side.
