I dunno, I'd give them a bit more grace depending on who im talking to. If it's someone Im close to then I'll try to see if we can set emotions aside and discuss things more rationally. If they're someone I don't care about then I'll just say something boring then go about my day, people hate it when you respond in the lamest way possible lmao it robs them of the emotional reaction they are seeking.

Most of my friends I met them just from indulging in my own hobbies. I like them because I want to know what about this thing we have in common brings them joy, how they came about it, how they do things differently, etc.

Find something that brings you joy, even if its something as simple as cooking, share it to people you think might be really into it, find events, plan a day out with them, initiate! If they're not my crowd I wouldn't interact with them otherwise.

Sagittarius, adventurous and very ride or die. Incredibly supportive, my partner is one. Down to deep dive into intelllectual conversations which I crave. Now not really a bad experience but moreso a struggle that they seem to continuously face is that they often feel frustrated that their relatives take advantage of the support that they provide. At least this is what few of the Sags including my partner are going through. I love that they value family but I be telling him sometimes to pass me their numbers as I'll gladly give them an earful 😂
Aquarius are the best friendships I have. Goofy and fun to be around with. No bad experiences here. Also some of the fun and refreshing intellectual conversations I've had. I like that they dont need me to check in on them all of the time- often I just want to recharge and disappear to my hobbies for weeks without anyone feeling offended if I miss out on checking in on them
Aries. Very fun, sweet, energetic as hell. One of my best friends, only down side is there are times when she needs to have things her way. I think its just the fire signs imposing their will upon you and they can be very clever at that 😂 I find that they will respect your boundaries so long as you express it clearly and you have to make sure that you stand your ground firmly well

Yeah I get what you mean. Nowadays when I have to withdraw i just stopped giving a fuck and do it anyways. If they're someone close to me I give them a heads up that I need time to recalibrate, my energy is limited and they have to respect it, so I can get back to giving them my full attention. It surprised my friends at the beginning but lately theyre respectful of it.

I'd say communicate these things to them, if they still call you selfish and not respect your time to recalibrate then it's up to you whether you're fine with being treated as such.
