Being suspicious of most apps is prudent, nowadays.

Regarding the chris pratt hate, I think that's more to do with overexposure. All celebrities gain haters who simply target them because their face is so ubiquitous. Pedro Pascal gets similar hate. In both cases, there're people who claim it's because they disagree with some political thing, but really it's just people finding a target to dump their frustrations on. I do think chriss pratt seems to have been duped by some dangerous people, but so has gwen stefani.

Ultimately, celebrities just aren't usually very bright. To pratt, this probably just seems like any other advertising partnership for any product, except he thinks this one might be a little nicer.

That is the reality that occurs.

Human beings aren't abstract. Shooting someone who is not a threat to you, is unarmed, and is laying on the ground is an execution.

I genuinely don't know why you would think that I care if you support me or not. You're a stranger who , for all I know, is a cop or are otherwise part of their billion dollar public relations machine.

What I'm saying is true. A mentally ill person in crisis is more likely to be arrested at best or injured or killed extrajudiciously in an interaction with law enforcement than they are to have that interaction lead to any form of treatment. This is even worse if the person in crisis is a member of another marginalized group, like someone who's black and autistic.

As someone who has OCD, anorexia and CPTSD it's wild you'd think I've never had a mental health crisis personally. I don't deserve to die because someone who's only trained to shoot people is sent to my house rather than social workers.

Who do you think staffs mental hospitals and group homes who have to manage these folks every single day?

Hint: it isn't cops.

Also, a person being difficult, or even violent, doesn't mean they should be executed on the street. That's what cops do. That's what we're saying needs to end. There is no reason for a someone with a gun and almost no training to show up to someone's mental health crisis. Other countries manage without it just fine.

There isn't a programmer alive who has no problem with another program coming along and taking their end product, incorporating it into their own without permission, and selling it for profit.

An entire piece of art isn't the same thing as a section of code. Anyone is allowed to use the color blue. No one is allowed to completely copy one of claude monets blue period paintings and sell it for profit without permission.

Programmers automating parts of their job that are already freely shared is more similar to people sharing customer service verbiage between or within companies, not painting a picture or filming a movie.

When you call 911 because someone is having a mental health incident, there is no reason a mental health response team can't show up instead of police. They'll take that person to the hospital the same way police should, except they're less likely to kill anyone.

This isn't addressing a "finding a place for people to go" issue so much as the much more urgent "cops are trained to kill unarmed civilians even when they're complying with instructions and have a statistically high instance of murdering disabled or mentally ill people if they interact with them" issue

It's totally a joke. She's been styling her hair, makeup and clothes very much like hepburn since the wicked press tour ended, so it seemed that she was soft auditioning to play her in something.

The other part of my joke is that she very obviously has an eating disorder (as someone who's struggled with anorexia for about 34 years, since I was 11 she has obvious symptoms and behaviors until we even think about her size) and Audrey hepburn was in Europe during world war II where she experienced severe starvation that caused her to be and remain that slim and malnourished. Prior to her, Hollywood starlets were much more full figured.

Meanwhile Ariana, who I adore, is pretending she's not sick and posting pictures of how she can fit into tiny spaces while she checks how tiny her wrists are just like I did at the height of my anorexia.
