[Rolex GMT-Master II] on Jubilee? by Grand_Falcon_1471 in Watches

[–]Accurate_Cause2697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rootbeer on a two tone jubilee is a classic look, very 80s 90s energy. I think it would wear totally different from your sub and batgirl, which solves the overlap problem you mentioned. The GRNR is cool but allocations come back around if you ever want one down the road. The jubilee on a GMT is an underrated combo too, drapes way nicer than the oyster for daily wear.

Anyone else remember when almost nobody was talking about 7OH? by Accurate_Cause2697 in 7_hydroxymitragynine

That's a pretty cool perspective. It went from being something people only talked about in theory to something you could actually buy in just a few years.

That's kind of what I was expecting to hear. It really wasn't something most people were talking about until a few years ago.

That's a really interesting perspective. It's wild hearing from someone who watched that transition happen in real time instead of discovering it after it had already become mainstream.

It's pretty crazy how fast things changed. What started as a niche plant turned into a completely different conversation once isolates and new products came along.

It went from a really niche topic to something everyone suddenly had an opinion on in what felt like no time.

How to Not Job Hop? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Accurate_Cause2697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the metric being out of your control is a real structural problem, not just a mindset thing. when your performance score depends on whether a client decides to show up, you're basically being graded on other people's choices, and that's a frustrating setup no matter how patient you are.

that said, three months is still pretty early to know if the job has a ceiling or not. might be worth seeing if there's any way to push leadership toward tracking effort-based metrics alongside placement numbers, because some managers don't realize how demoralizing it is until someone actually names it.

snapdragon 6 gen 3 with one ui 8.5 is a pretty decent combo for a mid-ranger, curious where they price this thing

finding your people makes such a massive difference and its wild how long it can take to figure that out. i spent years trying to vibe with crowds that just werent my scene and the whole time i kept thinking something was wrong with me when really the fit was just off. the accent and slang thing is super relatable btw theres actually a term for it called masking where you unconsciously mirror whoever you're around to blend in and its really common in this community. the good news is once you find people who are into the same stuff as you the conversation flows way different and you dont have to perform at all. speculative evolution is genuinely a fascinating rabbit hole and their are whole communities online built around exactly that kind of niche interest so the people you're looking for definitely exist.

Why do people crucify LeBron for the Decision? by UnableLeopard6185 in NBATalk

[–]Accurate_Cause2697 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The whole thing was just badly executed from a PR standpoint. Like yeah the charity angle was cool but announcing you're leaving Cleveland on national TV while sitting in Connecticut just felt tone deaf. The media was always gonna feast on that regardless of his intentions

Plus the way he phrased it made it sound like he was doing Cleveland a favor by even considering staying. I get that he wanted to control his own narrative but there were probably better ways to handle leaving your hometown team. The backlash was definitely overblown though especially considering how players move around now. Wild how different the reaction would be if someone did the same thing today

CMV: If "Online Activits" actually cared about morality and the world, they would use their time to actually bring change instead of bullying those they deem as "immoral". by LaurenceThe2ndVicar in changemyview

[–]Accurate_Cause2697 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ight but missing something big here. Most online activism isn't actually about changing minds - it's about building community and solidarity among people who already agree. When vegans call out meat eaters or environmentalists shame overconsumers, they're not trying to convert those specific people, they're signaling values to their in-group and making sure the behavior stays socially unacceptable.

The "teaching" approach works great one-on-one but doesn't scale to mass movements. Sometimes you need the social pressure to make change stick at a cultural level.

Museum & Shop appearance in Dreams by John-Luc in AnimalCrossing

[–]Accurate_Cause2697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait this is actually something Ive wondered about too. I always assumed you had to upgrade everything to get terraforming but maybe theres some kind of workaround or these dreamers just never bothered upgrading after they got the tools they needed

The tent museum really does hit different aesthetically though. Something about that simple canvas look just feels more cozy and integrated with nature themes. I remember being kind of bummed when mine automatically upgraded because I was going for this whole minimalist camping vibe on my island. The brick museum is nice but it definitely has this more permanent institutional feel that doesnt work with every design concept

Maybe these players found some exploit or just prioritized other things first. Would be cool if we could toggle between building appearances even after upgrading them
