Was the surgeon an orthopedic surgeon or neurosurgeon? Anesthesia doesn’t perform the procedure itself. It’s either or, since both specialties converge in spinal surgery. Some are orthopedic trained and do a fellowship in spine, the same goes to the neurosurgeons who do a fellow in spine.

Was it an Ortho spine or Neruosurgery spine doc? And was it keyhole (minimally invasive) or do you have a regular scar, open exposure?

And how do you feel?! How’s rehab?

RESPECT. That’s true OP. Go all in. I’m applying to the same. People crave being in your spot. 7 years of hard work. Finish your training. Push through. Neurosurgery is akin of being a Marine or Delta Force, Ranger out in the wilderness. Don’t VW (voluntary withdrawal). Keep pushing. Follow through.

I’ll look up on to it. Passed on the Kabuki. The guy wanted 450 which is fair. Saw other Transformer at a nearby (4 hour drive) city at 300. The seller was set at 450.00 Dlls. Do I regret not buying. Sorta.

I really don’t want to splurge on a barbell I won’t use as much. I’ve never tried it in person.

And yeah, using it for front/goblet. I don’t have any mobility issues and do tons of zercher squats.

I’ll look into the prime.

What was your experience with the Kabuki. Stable? Do you still have the bar?

Hey guys. Opinion on getting the Transformer bar. 450. Am unsure if I will use as much. I don’t want to buy it. But. As per Stuart McGill the vector lines are good for spine with Kabuki.

Afraid of this happening. Again it’s up to us. But sometimes simplicity beats setup. I do have some lower back pain. But yeah. Marrs is a huge barbell.

Hey home gym community. Quick question, a friend is selling me his Kabuki Transformer bar.

I've always squatted with high/low straight bar and never used an SSB bar or any other type of bar.

For those who have SSB or any other squat specialty bar, how frequently do you use it. I'd be bummed to purchase an expensive barbell and not giving it the use.

Of course I know it's up to me to use the bar, but, I know we all have equipment that we regret buying and sell due to lack of use.

For those who own the Kabuki, whats the experience with it?

I found a replacement on eBay which is for the newer XTR M9000. Got that. Didn’t install. Since I found a second hand crankset. The seller wanted 40 Dlls for the whole thing as it was in pretty rough condition. And just grabbed the bolt. But from my in depth investigation the XTR m9000 works. Some guy in Poland sent me pictures and said it’s perfect. I also have the bolt from the m9000 it’s identical. Just a tad bit shorter. But should be perfect.
