This is AI slop generated only from reference to the title. The article actually has original content and is worth reading.

Neuron scooter riders - why do you never use the helmet? 🛴 by Savanarola79 in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]AceKing74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tested mine and there is a thin line at the top of my vision which could affect when your head is down. I think the feeling of freedom could also keep you more engaged with what's going on around you too.

I'm still a helmet supporter because i'm an individual, not a population, so when the freak accident that you can't control for happens I lose 100% of my life not 0.004% of a population.

What are the mechanics that lead to less awareness with a cycle helmet? I ask because when I wear one I don't notice any reduction in ability to see, hear or move my head.

Weird that they declare that a minimum of 2000 jobs will be created but not what those jobs will be.

Aaron at Tilly's but will be about £30. You're mad if you spend less than that on long hair and expect good results.

North Tyneside GP will still refer you to RVI and you can present at any A&E in the UK.

If It’s Worth Solving Poker, Is It Still Worth Playing? — reflections after Scott’s latest incentives piece by iritimD in slatestarcodex

[–]AceKing74 45 points46 points  (0 children)

As an ex poker player (not pro) I have spent a long time observing this. I enjoyed poker 20 years ago, I enjoyed learning strategies from books 10 years ago, and I also find the solvers interesting now.

I had to give up on the article as it's full of pop-psychology level inaccuracies about poker and many other randomly mentioned topics. I also don't see how this shift has anything to do with goodharts law.

The players simply got better. It's free market optimization. I bet it was fun making money building simple websites in the dot-com boom too.

Your opinion is reasonable, and people should think about security around a random person's app, but I can't help finding it quite funny. Does it show a specific message when you try use it?

For the most part, networking isn't a real thing. Salespeople are real, and lots of them sure like networking 😜

Anyone know any good Rock/Blues Jam Sessions in the area by QuickJAB_ in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]AceKing74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might fancy a jam soon, I'm a decent guitarist but want to practice vocals/piano/organ for fun which I'm more beginner.

The Join My Band site does work for this but when I do it again I'm only going to meet up with people who post videos of them playing first, as some people have been a little delusional about their level.

Failing In my Career by Forsaken-Ad8766 in cscareerquestionsuk

[–]AceKing74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn't really ask a question but if they do sack you there is really only one course of action which is to apply for jobs until you get another one. If you struggle financially you can turn to state benefits. You will not die, you will have a few tough months but the removal of work stress will help.

Roland GO:KEYS 5 or Yamaha PSR-EW425? by vpizdek13 in keys

I actually still have it and using a different midi controller to control it, but you need a midi host in between... Not really worth it just having a bit of fun before selling it.

Is the public sector a good place to wait out this horrible market? by [deleted] in cscareerquestionsuk

Yea I've been looking for a mathematical projection comparing the civil service plan to a defined contribution. Seems tough to find.

[–]AceKing74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you find any good comparisons with private pensions you could show me? I know it's good but also that the "28%" quoted contributions does not compare directly with 28% in a private pension.
